Happy New Year and Goodbye 2010!

2010 is going to be like a yesterday. I can’t believe expecting 2011 tomorrow just few more hours left. Oh well, no place to go actually and friends are hanging with their own friends. My life is getting lonelier than ever. Of course same goes to peoples like me around the world too. But I’m not that kind of person feel into delusion of some sort.

Yesterday was quite sucking actually. It was suppose a happy day able to get my passport on time. Thanks to the late SMS from the Gov system sent during lunch hours when I was so free in the morning. My work is getting way out of hand this month and even I manage to get down getting it. Applying for visa won’t be on time. Damn important works last minute pop in front of me. Pui!

Nothing much to wish for and looked back this last day. Too much sad things just happen so fast in real life. Hopefully tomorrow will be another better day and hope to hear about my new car soon.

Walter Hobby Online Shop Final Review

This is a revisit review for Walter Hobby online shop. You can still find the previous review post here or in the E-Shop Review category list. You may ask me why bother going back when they have bad reputations and services records. The reason is very simple, I want to know whether they learn their mistake and done any improvements. Anyone deserve second chance. It just whether they can pass or not.

As many you already know, Walter Hobby is today many buyers blacklisted toy shop in Hong Kong and no longer a recommend site to get Gunpla. The issue were quite a fuss back then, not delivering buyers orders and even went further not responding emails together almost more than a year. This causes many outrage and immediately filed complains to HK Authority including blocking his Paypal transactions.

Walter intention is unclear until now because he never makes any statements on what happen. The only information I got is from Prime92 YouTube reviewer are that his is too busy handling college examination and unable to fulfill the orders on time. He even puts up banner mentioning that his internet was down and unable to reply emails. As long there aren’t any official statement made from him, everyone of course taking this as completely bullshit and he was just trying to avoid responsibility.

FG 1/48 Gundam Unicorn Head Display Base

It was done yesterday after getting Tamiya clear red spray paint in town. Nothing much was done on the head display, only done a spray painting and putting decals for better looking. You can see there is one missing warning sign on the left. No ideas how the hell happens as I confirm it stick after using Mr Mark soft. Even I put another one second time, it still missing.

I still got another one, but will be plan later for more challenging projects in the future.

Another Year of Boring Christmas and Shit happen

Feel like having a Sunday, same as usual staying at home doing all sorts of things. This month is kinda like shit to me. Passport expires and can’t even get a new car before Christmas. My life is becoming too meaningless boring if I don’t go out and enjoy soon. This does remind me one of my friends saying nothing weird about that because everyone already get used to it since the day we are born in boring Brunei.

Anyway, quite busy and tired this past week’s working on company PC maintenance. At the same time getting into trouble with an employee in other department. Thanks to my openly discussion and opinions, she quite pissed off at me. I don’t really care much if I am rude or disrespect what I wrote in the email. You may think is just a small matter, but for a big private company I working for. You got to be very careful as people loves to poke you and use email as an evidence or proof.

It’s like this. I personally hate the secretary using email as a way of communication to contact the IT department for any urgent matters or require our service ASAP. I don’t understand why they don’t bother to call us directly when there is telephone available. Don’t you find it weird and stupid without logical sense? It’s like they never take the words wrote in the email as important at all and simply ignores it.

The word urgent and ASAP use in the email are always top priority in the company rules. Imagine how fuck is that when we just get back from the office and suddenly reading the emails that require us urgently, we have to rush back there to fix it. Other shitty things are that chances they are waiting for us to solved the problem. What if we don’t? Of course, we get complains and this going for too long.

Our IT job is not just sitting in the office, we move around to on site doing servicing and multitasking on different works every day. So we usually unable to keep track all the emails and normally received phone calls a lot. Their way of action does put us greatly in trouble and get question most of the time why we didn’t follow up the issues. This is the moment I started to get heated up and decided to write back. Not sure yet what is the result of it. It feels better for me because I dislike this going forever and getting us all the blames for not attending urgency.

Ford Fiesta 2011 For Me?

I am quite busy lately working and part time on logo designs. After switching to KIA Sportage 2011, still no stock for me. I think I am going to stop wasting time waiting and simply just jump to Ford Fiesta 2011 Sedan as they got plenty of stocks ready.

Not a bad car really and the price is quite affordable too when it comes with feature. However, according to my friend the Premium Motor currently only have one model which is Sedan version. I was much into hatchback version but too make sure if this car are worth buying it. I check out some of the review on YouTube. The result is quite good except the rear passenger seats on the back are kinda of draw back. I need to find out myself to confirm it because I want my friends and my mom sitting on the back to feel comfortable.

What is the Reason for FB Ban in Brunei?

If that is true, I would definitely laugh hard on these idiotic peoples who propose and follow Malaysian footstep supporting this silly ban. Many should know by now that rumor AiTi is going be the one banning (link) on Facebook this end of the month. I’m sure majority of the locals probably going to feel rage by this if it happens.

Now, what causes this? It appears that the speculation behind the ban is because of the recent news about the popular 22 years old Malaysian teen committing suicide this month that is known by Alviss Kong, who updated his last message on Facebook before jumping off from this home. Here’s the news, last message for the ex-girlfriend and information’s if you don’t know what happen.

So the question, is Facebook the blame all this suicide mess? For my personal opinion, Facebook indeed actually helps us to find out the truth in the messages left by Alviss Kong. Think about it. Do you rather continue to suffer without knowing why someone suddenly went suicide?

I don’t know why the Governments are trying to put in a fucking blame on social networks either. No matter how we look at it, this is human nature problem. Blaming on internet is just a big excuse. Even without it, we can still find another replacement in no time. Not to mention video conversation are starting to get more popular nowadays meeting strangers around the world. No one can stop this unless we pull out the internet once and for all.

There are other reasons why they want to ban Facebook. That’s right, freedom of speech. The big boys doesn’t like whenever someone criticizing the Governments that can damage the country images. It’s just another pointless thinking that might help to solve the problem because it will never will as long we human have problem with anything that came to our minds.

Anyway about Alviss Kong, I find it totally stupid. Sorry I have to be really rude and disrespect him because I find it really hard and unacceptable choosing commit suicide just over a four month end of relationship reason. I’m not him, so I can’t understand the love depression that he fought so hard for her. So what makes one of my Malay friend die in cancer 16 years old looks like? He can’t even work, study, love even ever to enjoy rest of the life today. He can, but 22 years beautiful healthy life ended just like that for the sake of four month love! Chi bai, what the fuck is wrong with the young people these days?

Now the whole family had to suffer and the ex girlfriend is carrying ‘guilt’ on the rest for her life (BTW she is freaking beautiful). Nonetheless, according to the Chinese newspaper report he actually had this same problem before in the first relationship and plan on commit suicide but was saved last minute two years ago. What does this mean? End.

Gunpla – HG 1/100 O Raiser

I have been finding hard at the moment looking which to build. So I decided to go for the easy one instead. Well it somehow took me 5 hours to finish for very few runners. I think probably because I took time examining how to improve the O Raiser kits for the next try. The only things I done are adding sensor and camera like option parts. Luckily it doesn’t turn out that bad except I over done the transparent cockpit color.

Gunpla: HG 1/100 Vitue and HG 1/144 Kerberos BuCUE Hound

Both were completed this month. It originally begins last month, it just both of them work half way after moving to MG Gundam Destiny. Again, all straight build and color testing for future projects. White Tamiya spray is very hard to find right now, even I stock up extra doesn’t seem to be enough at all.

So my plan right now is to test which colors work best on white surface. Next time, the work will be much easier to choose which is right for the Gunpla. Anyway, I finally completed another one of the Seed Astray Frame model. One more left to go Leons's Arms Astray PMC Custom.

As for Gundam Vitue, the Tamiya light sand color spray works pretty well on white plastic kit. I kinda love it because I never once have any Gunpla in sand version. No special posing photos. Too lazy for it.

No Holiday Toy Sales?

HLJ is not actually doing holiday sales for Brunei. Even though there are 50% off on Fed-Ex, but it doesn’t include Brunei Darussalam. That was the saddest thing seeing this to go. There always be a last minute sales and I hope for a nice one especially on the shipping. Nope 20% is not enough!

I also can see that the HK toy stores are not making any moves on the sales or offering free gifts right now like last year. It’s weird to find this, my guess probably thinking because of the US exchange rate issue. Damn these shop owners are not thinking bright enough that they can earn much more compared to Japanese store, don’t you think? You can say I’m wrong but just take a look at HLJ. How aggressive they are promoting sales almost every month. Even now most of the Gundam plastic kits on sales are still plenty in stock and very slow clearing out. Good or bad sign is hard to say. Probably most people are like me, holding off and wait for much better to come.

Well, not entirely. Of course I already making purchase this and that after receiving my new credit card last week and get approved for reapplying PayPal. Totally went nuts ordering Transformers and KO MG 1/100 Strike E (for project) toys just in one day over B$500.00. Luckily I got temporary card limit increase to cover that up because I even over spend during my Soon Lee shopping. What a crazy month I have to say.

One more thing, I got a US$7 ($50 or more) off and US$12 ($100 or more) off free coupons for Play-Asia.com. This year, I’m not going to buy anything there. Anyone who wants it can find in this post. Good luck with your holiday shopping!

First TF Reveal the Shield and Generations Arrived

This is the last month pre-order and soon my TFX-Protector should arrive as well. The first set Reveal the Shield title contains Jazz, Turbo Track, Fall Back and Mindset. As for the Generations, I ordered Skullgrin and Dirge. I have to say, all of them are great!

Credit Card Got Copy and Car Got Hit on Rear

This is suck for the first December of the month having such a bad shit around you. I was told by the HSBC international that my Visa card suspect been copy and require to replace immediately. Damn this bank always joking around with me like that making so many hassle reapply this and that all over again. Thanks to it, I lost my order for Gundam Ace with Sinanju Head display last month. Argg….

While continuing having a bad day dealing with the credit card issue, on my way back home also got hit by a car at rear. Luckily just a slight damage but my past trauma caught me blank out like few years ago hitting someone else car at rear. I don’t know why I am so stupid not asking that sucker to pay my car repair fee. Even I forget the car and the number plates. Everything blank out in my mind. What happen on the first day of this month is definitely experiencing fuck up life and continue asking myself why I am so stupid.

Head Robots – Hot Head Upgrade Review

Here is another review for the third party maker toy from Headrobots.com. Hot Head is the second upgrade latest product released last month. The upgrade can be use on either Transformers Universe Hard Head and works with any Vintage Headmaster toys which is pretty damn cool.

It just too bad there isn’t any Headmaster body left around in my care. So in this review, I will be using Hot Head upgrade kit on Universe (Ultra Class) Hard Head figure. Yes, this is a redeco version of Onslaught and can only be found exclusively in Walmart US and hardly available in Asia market. The only way to get it is from direct eBay. Do note that the selling price might be going to be expensive by now due to the popularity upgrade kit already available in worldwide market.

Racist Employee in Land Department?

Update: I was told by my friends that this guy is from KB and already a well known bad behavior. Even complains were been ignore by the head officers. So does that means the people inside are supporting him being racist?

Let me clear on this, I dislike racists. But I won’t stay on side watching this kind of drama happen. It appear that there are complains circling around from Bandar until KB that there is a male employee working in Land Department has a big problem (very unhappy) with people who were awarded or passes the Brunei citizenship trying to apply for housing and lands.

I myself really interested wanted to know who this guy was. No, I’m not going to beat or punch him because this asshole is a fucking chicken picking on elderly people and ladies. If it was me, I won’t let him off easily. This will surely complained to the head of the department and make sure he apologized.

I’m just a PR and only know there are two types of them. However, for Brunei citizenship, there are more I heard. Correct me if I am wrong. Those who pass the tests are considering 5th grade or something. So this guy pissed off at YOU trying applied for housing and lands. Not only that, he continue scolded the ladies that this lands is only for the only local Malays those who are 4th grade or higher. He went on calling them shameful and should be forbidden to get housing or lands.

No one knows if this idiot is proud what he is saying. But what he did is a barbaric behavior direct attack to all local Chinese, Iban, Dusun, Indian or other races.

No matter what, this is truly an ugly ways of making such drama. If you have problem with it, why not go ahead complain direct to His Majesty instead of getting yourself into troubles. If you got the BALLS. He is the one who gives us chance to take the examinations who wanted better future by obtaining yellow citizenship. Of course they had the right to applied something in Brunei. It’s not up to you decide who can’t get this or that. Only His Majesty who decide.

MG Gundam Destiny – FAITH Terrorism Customize MS

Mini Story:

C.E 74, November. After the second Bloody Valentine war ended and sign peace treaty between PLANT and Orb. The new FAITH organization has been reform again by Durandal former trusted councils, followers and secret recruit elite members planning to over thrown Lacus Clyne and newly appointed ZAFT councils.

In order to restart ‘Destiny Plan’, FAITH has decided to secretly manufacture numbers of advances MS ZGMF-X42S Destiny. During the mid-development, the engineers has improve Destiny into next level by using golden parts that found on both successor, Strike Freedom and the DSSD's (Deep Space Survey and Development) GSX-401FW Stargazer. This vastly improves the mobility and the performance two times than previous the model. It was known only one were successfully produce.

However, soon the plan was found out by ZAFT spies. The defense councils decided to hired mercenary to carry out the attack instead to avoid getting attention to Lacus.

Since it’s hard to sell off the MG Gundam Destiny, I decided to removed from the garage sell list and build it instead. No plan for the extra details except testing out the custom color which my original plan is for Heine Westenfluss rather than Shinn Asuka. Somehow, I messed up during spraying.

The whole color has been redone especially the orange parts. I’m not sure what happen to the yellow spray paint. It doesn’t stick well even doing the second layer spraying doesn’t help either. To solve that, I had to spray it with orange to fix this coloring issue. Also, the body has been painted in gold color to look pair with Strike Freedom. Luckily it didn’t turn out as bad as I think even with decals (30% left) match nicely. As for the face in black, could be the reason my obsession wanted to put them together with Seed VS Astray design. I just wanted to make it looks fiercer compare to normal color version.

I will start working on HG1/100 Gundam Vitue this week since it was done half way cutting and sanding. Same as usual, no details upgrade. Anyway, I will upload the action photo soon.

RK–November 2010 Order

Happy day! Finally a long awaited RK package from the post office this afternoon. It was supposed to be last week, but not sure why delaying for the third week. Probably because of the terrorism checking I guess.

Okay, here’s what I got. You might already guess by looking at this photo. However, I’m sure there is one packing looks unfamiliar to you. That is the second release 3rd party Hot Head upgrade for Transformers Universe Hardhead from Headrobots.com which was released worldwide last month.

But I decided to grab later since it won’t easily sold out as the Universe Hard Head rarely sold in Asia. Yup, I got mine from eBay cheap after the announcement of the upgrade. Expecting a full Hot Head upgrade review soon.

Trip to Bandar + Window Shopping - Part 2

At the Mall, there are always limited shopping choices in my lists. I only need half an hour to finish walking around to find what I need, unless there are special events like PC Fairs or something. While continue to wait for my shoe and continue to suffer boringness. I decided to kill off the time and went to watch the latest movie called Skyline, which is a mistake choice btw. I should have gone for Unstoppable movie instead.

Anyway, I’m not going to spoil or reveal any story for Skyline movie. My personal view, the movie is good and possible part 2 coming. The only complain I feel about at the cinema Mall is putting TOO much and useless advertisement. What the hell are they thinking? I’m not quite sure if that is good way promoting the business or helping them to earn income. To me, it’s really annoying spending almost 10 minutes sitting there watching it.

Okay, after finishing watching the movie and receive the Adidas Watkins 2 running shoe. My next location is to new Time Square Mall. I never been there before and need to phone my friend up for direction. Once I got an idea how easy to drive there, the unexpected encounter is the roads is terrible small and fill with holes. I was again lucky enough to get the parking space in front of the main entrance.

Nothing fancy or many shops open yet there. Many of them still under renovations so expect the places look very boring and quiet. Nonetheless, I continue to check out the place and specially dropping by a furniture shop selling IKEA. I’m not really sure if that shop belongs to the same shop in JLN Mata Mata. The selling price is not what I really hoping for, only accessories are affordable from my point of view.

The only thing I got from there so far is plastic multi drawers at GIANT for B$29.90. Smaller and different than the one I brought from Soon Lee. Better than nothing, as long the design looks better than those selling double price and ugly.

Now, the next move is hunting for display shelves before heading home. I’m not really good with the locations in BSB. So I only drop by to the recommended places in Jalan Tutong. Sadly, most of them never sell display shelves I like. The one introduced me are old fashion design. What a dumb ass sales showing me such a tasteless thing.

It was a time waster for at least an hour. No more thinking and went straight to Star Home Enterprise in Mata Mata just get the Glass Detolf instead. Sad again, all were sold off. Dammit, why am I so unlucky at getting for display shelves? Either gets into fight with fucking sales girl in KB or gotten overly pricey display shelves and now out of stock. Dammit!

Anyhow, in the end I simply go for getting IKEA 1x Rigga clothes rack, 2x Bumerang Skirt (for jeans please) Hangers, 1x SKUBB storage 5C and lastly 1x set clothes hanger. All together cost B$85.50 and you can see the finished DIY clothes rack photo above. I am really happy with the purchase, never thought the Rigga clothes rack is a good quality made and stronger compare to those sold in Soon Lee.

On and all, it was a good trip to BSB for window shopping and most of the things that can now draw a cross on the wish list. Hopefully next time I go to BSB again able to grab display Detolf.

Trip to Bandar + Window Shopping Part 1

If it wasn’t Setia Motors insist me going up their main branch collecting the cheque personally. I won’t be planning to for some window shopping and had to borrow car from my sister. I really wish I could get my new car next month so that it will be easier next time.

Now, after collecting my cheque and went straight to the nearby Baiduri banking in the money before headed to The Mall. Morning was good over there and easily found a parking outside. I went straight to Maya Silk Emporium shop to check out Adidas running shoe. I not that kind of person bother much on the shoe design or latest products. As long it worked best for my barefoot and comforting during exercising. Since the guys told me they had to send the new pair from the store. I decided spend some time dropping by CH-ToyNation and Go Figure! including Kawan Ria toy shop for survey.

BTW, I got an Adidas Watkins 2 (Running/Course) shoe for B$120.00.

Ahem…Yup, I didn’t buy any single thing. I know I’m an asshole when it comes to pricing. But somehow, none were interests me except Gundam and trying to look out for MP Grimlock. Too bad, Kawan Ria pricing were so expensive that I have to walk off. Not all, some of them are okay with me especially the HGUC and limited bundle Unicorn with display head stand. I understand Yen has been weakening in the exchange rate and affect the entire business. Nothing against them, it just I use to buying and compare pricing from the internet so which makes me nowadays not use to buying through the local shop.

Go Figure Shop on the other hand has been expanding and improved. It’s good to see them started selling iGear products (Sorry! blur photo!), comics, t-shirts and Star Wars collection. Again, not quite a fan on comic characters except Halo and Metal Gear so far. I did however saw MP Grimlock display in the shelves. It is an open package and the price kinda too expensive for me to afford. I cannot tell if that is the limited released version seems like I have to search through eBay or wait for restock in RK.

HLJ Last October Order

Before I drive to capital yesterday, the first priority is to grab my stuffs at the post office. Both eBay and HLJ orders arrived at the same time. Still there is one more hasn’t arrive yet, which hopefully able to get it on this Saturday.

First thing first, what did I order? The photo above did give you a hint already. MG Gundam Ver.ka, HG1/100 Gale Strike, HG 1/100 Vent Savior, Hasegawa Valkyrie weapon set and lastly Astray Archives: 3D & Settei Materials Collection. I really recommend you guys getting this book if you are Seed Astray fans. The work is amazing and gives nice modeling conversion guide too.

However, readers know there are more in the box. Yes, most of them are restocking Kotobukiya plastic option parts and Gundam marker fine pens (black only). Except this time I brought a few HiQ Parts and new mono eye sensor stickers together with the order. Very nice details made and recommend to you guys as well if you plan on adding or doing modifications on Gunpla.

Actually I am planning for more on the orders. But I didn’t do it because I felt something is wrong with the Yen currency. The latest exchange rate recently shocks me a hell out of my money. $1.00 Brunei dollar is now against ¥60.00 which is now much lower than before. Luckily, I got my bonus last month and smart enough to hold the order until HLJ announced EMS 50% off promotion. All else, I am going to have lots of problem on December and probably upcoming Black Friday Sales.

I’m a Piss off Customer

The shittiest thing you don’t want to get involve is getting customers complain and reaching to the head department ears. Yesterday I posted my bad experience shopping in Court Furniture (Furnishing) in KB and decide call up their HQ manager explaining the sales girl rudeness behavior. Well, today there is another one torch the flame inside me again. This time, it’s about my refund for the Hyundai Tucson 2010 booking.

Same again, a sale girl, but she pisses off me instead. The reason is simple. I decided to cancel my booking because I waited for too long (around six months now) without any news about the availability. This turns on the bad mood mode in my head and switch to newer KIA Sportage 2011 instead. Now, since my KIA friend told me it doesn’t require depositing to apply the car loan last month. Of course, I want my refund back as soon as possible. B$400.00 is a lot of money to me.

I admit this also the main part triggers the argument between us. But she makes me no choice making call complain her to the head of department (again). I won’t reveal the name but she is well known experience car sales for many years now in KB (I heard). From my own point of view, I don’t think so.

Let me explain why I conclude that. Firstly, she missed call almost every time about enquiry about the documents and process of the bank application approval. What the hell? Is this how you deal business by miss calling and expect your own customer to call back you? I can’t believe a sales girl is being so cheap over the calls. She using DST line and even got a company phone line why and why not using it?

Not only that, she makes me wait and even missed the appointments more than once that arrange by her. Not informing she’s going to Bandar or unable to meet. I was there in front of their company wasting time waiting. Worst, I have to do the enquiry and call her myself! Who is a sales agent now?

When it comes to refund, it get even worst. Every company has its own policy, either the customers had to wait at least two weeks or maybe one month to get the refund. The problem is, I have no single idea or knew anything about the mention policy. She never told me anything and the only replied was ‘soon’. Of course I would feel nervous and continue to inquiry the refund every once a week because she told me soon. You see, I’m messaging her for update myself YET AGAIN! I’m doing all the work for the sales girl when it was supposed to be her work? This pisses me off greatly and decided become no more Mr. nice guy taking action against her.

Although things in the end turn out ugly. The refund cheque is ready for collection in BANDAR. The account told me I have to go there myself and no such service sending to KB. It suck you know I have to drive over there just to collect the payment this coming Saturday wasting my half day leave. Well, I will just do some window shopping during my time there since I’m planning to look for display shelves in Jalan Tutong area.

Display Cabinet Cancel

Those damn sales ladies in Court Furniture (or Furnishing) are pissing me off badly today which makes me decided to call off the order and look in other places instead. I don’t really remember if these Pilipino ladies are the same employee back then when it still in rental KB town building. Right now I am terribly angry and annoyed by their rudeness behavior.

My friends already warned me twice about the sales ladies are well known pissing people off. I choose to buy from there because it’s easy for to get access with the products instead of going direct to capital. Moreover, I don’t even have any car able to drive to there. There is one display shelf that interests me a lot and decided to get one. They told me it’s out of stock so have to wait for the restock. Of course without any second thought, booking is the only option. It’s big, wide and cost only B$120.00 after discount. I even gave them my phone number to contact me once it arrived. They never once call.

The excuse is simple, they lost the number. I have to get back there to get the update. This time, the stocks are in which it already assemble put on display. I reject it for few reasons. I told them beforehand that I want is none display product, secondly it look badly assemble and thirdly some scratch marking appear on the side. Seriously, who want that? I told them about it and suddenly showing rude expressions by telling me if I want a new one assemble it yourself. Not only that, they ignore me and went back to their sit chatting own languages.

From this moment it sparks the fire inside me and asked them again what they mean by that. They knew I’m pissed off madly and went on confirm me getting a new one down on Monday (today). After I went back, they suddenly told me there is no stock and have to wait for another two weeks. This is really what the fuck in the mind. I gave my numbers again and never bother informing me about this yesterday. This totally erupt the fire in my head and decided to cancel it.

I’m not going show any mercy and let this go easily because I am going to made the complain call to their manager in BSB tomorrow. I have been so patience waiting for coming month and suddenly getting this rudeness behavior treatment from them. They need lesson!

Employee Will Have 7 Days Leave Yearly Soon?

This is rather uninteresting RUMORS to all folks still currently looking for jobs or working right now. It appears that our Governments have recently approved a new rule that starting next year, new employees or already employ with any companies will only get 7 days leave yearly policy. That is seriously got to be WRONG!

I myself already complain 14 days leave is not enough and now we are going to get half? This is truly suck if this is going to happen. Nonetheless, some says it only affects only for the first year employee and some says that this rule applied to the Governments. No one knows which is true. So at the moment, everyone should hold your breath and wait for official news.

Just knew when I watch the video blog. BTW, I just knew this guy is a well known in local blogger who proclaim the best broken English in Brunei. Nothing against him whatsoever but it’s great to know about Tiger Lim. The only things I feel he suck are speak too much like Singlish. No Bruneian feels man!

Angry Birds Up for Pre-Order

I am pretty sure you guys already read the news last month. You all are going to jump in for one five plush birds toys. Rovio will be selling five 8” plush birds for each US$14.99 and going to ship out in December holiday. It was told going to be limited! Of course, I also plan to get them fast. But for all of us living in Brunei, better hold off first because you don’t like to see what I am posting below.

Yes, the total shipping and handling for five Angry Birds cost me US$699.99 using UPS Saver. What in the world those birds made off? That was truly surprising and sad. So I sent out a mail for inquiry if that was a mistake. Hopefully I am able to get the answer by tonight or tomorrow.

End of October

No one can imagine the days go so fast and now everyone are preparing for year 2011 soon. Not much activities weekend for me as long I don’t have nice car to drive around. Tomorrow will be another crazy day for me as I already start placing orders from HLJ sales period and stock up my tools. This time, Gundam will be included in the order as well.

What change my mind is because of the Yen exchange rate problem. As we do know Yen has been quite unfavor against US dollar and possibly rise for next year. So I decided to just go ahead stocking up my favorite Gunpla first since I got a rise this month. Not much and got to wait until Black Friday Sales then I makes my moves.

How about my Gunpla progress? Actually I already had built some of them, it just that I never thought of taking picture at the moment while waiting for display shelve to arrive. My current work now is working on MG 1/100 Destiny Gundam. No mod or details upgrade for this one. But I decided to do some color changes based on Heine Westenfluss color. Somehow, I made a huge mistake so there are area needed some color tune for it.

Window XP Profile Goes Corrupted by Symantec

Full of pressure these past few days dealing with this issue at my office. I almost got a heart attack when working on Executive Director PC. It really does hit me full of pressure fixing problem in the early morning. He doesn’t like knowing his PC break down when he walked into the office room. Not only that, I have to deal over 20 PC (out of 100+) every day having the same either profile corrupted or unable to login issues. This is the worst thing you likely don’t want to be happening during end of the month.

Luckily, the answers can be found on the internet forums. Apparently, there are IT companies out there experience the same problem about the Window XP profile corrupted issue, screen goes big and userinit.exe errors. They already pointed out the culprit is none other the well known Symantec AV version 9. My boss like to use these brand and I fed up argue with him about the problem. No matter what I do, creating new user profiles and reformats the Window XP. The problem keeps coming back, unless I removed the Symantec AV 9 and everything will get back to normal. You know what? He just wants it to install without question.

I don’t really mind if installing the latest Symantec AV version 10 or later. But he continue insist using the older version and told me it’s already fix. This is the most stubborn server administrator I ever had hard time to deal with. Well, if I hold the server certification. Maybe there are chances to fight back and convince he is wrong. Too bad I am not holding any of it. What to do?

Nonetheless, I continue to see the problem and believe won’t likely easily go away. This affecting the Window 2000 as well I discover. Application failed to launched and lost icon graphics. If you folks companies still using Symantec AV 9 and experience the same problem I mention above. Just removed the programs, everything will get back to normal. Symantec AV 9 is the troublemaker and do remember the support has been ended this year as well.

Should I Get Nerf Stampede?

I have been watching the reviews and checking out local Nerf community or blogs past few days. Man, it sure looks pretty fun sport and probably going to jump in any time soon. For guy like me, I also love thinking about collecting guns. Not sure most of you these days remember, super soaker was a hit and expensive also. Damn that was crazy fun and super wet back then with 40 guys like us shooting around at schools. Really miss those days. It is still selling today, but not quite popular for locals or sold these days.

So, which one do you think I like best if I planning to get one? Actually, Nerf Stampede ECS caught my attention the most. Oh well, yes, because it doesn’t no longer require to reload manually and done by electronic. But it looks cool and advance. Not to mention, many reviewers says it rarely jam up.

As for the pump models, one of my cousins did collect and join in the games. A good chance for me checks out his Nerf collections (mostly clear version). Nonetheless, looks really cool and allow customizing based on your taste. But it jams up a lot when shooting. I don’t know, maybe it needs maintenance or something or modify.

Anyway, I am still considering if getting Nerf Stampede next month. Yesterday I was doing window shopping and found a local toy shop selling around B$120 below (a bit less using membership discount). Okay, now I really am starting to feel so silly.

Jumping to KIA Sportage 2011

Never thought I would simply jump to KIA Sportage 2011 after a still long wait for Hyundai Tucson 2010 from May this year. It was a final made decision yesterday. Although I am a little sad seeing Tucson slip away from my heart, it just doesn’t stop me switching.

Reason? Plenty I have to admit. Firstly, the price is little cheaper (B$29.250) than the previous booked Tucson 2010 only comes with two air bag and leathered seats. However, Sportage 2011 version gives more compare to Tucson 2010. It got LED daytime running lights, reverse camera & sensors, 18" alloy rims, side repeater lamps & electronic folding! The surprise also, it’s now comes with 5 years warranty or 150,00km (whichever comes first).

I never get a chance to attend the opening night in KB. Nonetheless I manage to check out the manual version and seeing some of them in the road today. Sportage 2011 surely is one of the value unbeatable crossover (or SUV) vehicles and beautifully designs by former Audi designer.

It is sad that leaving Hyundai Tucson 2010. If Setia Motor able bringing in the Hyundai 2011 version, I won’t be jumping to KIA because it definitely going to have similar Sportage 2011 features. Trust me. It looks more beautiful than 2010 version. Too bad they are not coming to Brunei, not until next year. Even though it already started selling in other countries, by that time, it could be doom to for most of us require paying 25% down payment first unless you are an idiot enough dumping all you’re saving into it.

FP, Comic and CJ Hunt!

Same as usual, I can’t stop spending on toys without stop getting them. This month, same Transformers, but mostly a year old I miss back then. Gundam Ecole du Ciel volume 1-11 set – Always making the same mistake again and again. I should really just do survey first in eBay before getting in YesAsia.com. This is the Chinese version used comic books comes with full 11 volume. I paid nearly B$80+ (including shipping) and the books looks like new. Anyway, still die waiting for the latest volume.

Transformers Universe Cliffjumper and Movie Divebomb – I have searching for Universe Cliffjumper so hard in eBay. After doing my last resort searching in Google, I finally found a seller in Singapore eBay selling B$35.00 brand new! Damn that was real value for such hard to get in the market. It was luck.

As for Divebomb, I also got it from the same seller at B$25.00 brand new.

Okay, FP TFX01-City Commander is the most expensive (US$89.90) toys compare to the rest above. I never thought on spending on one toy but to complete the Ultra Magnus. I decided to go ahead while the US dollar is still weak. There won’t be a second same toy model I swear to myself. It’s nice, quality great but some part of the area are loose. Disappointed I had to say. Nonetheless, it complete my Ultra Magnus.

Blog Action Day 2010: Water

Today is an amazing day! My blog will be joining Blog Action Day to discuss and write about water issues in our communities and around the world! Of course, some of the local bloggers (Senor Pablo and RATED E!) are participating as well!

Water = Life

No matter how much we argue and denied things in life, Water is the most important resources for global human being. Everyone is depending on it. I am glad to be born and living healthy in a peaceful country because we got access to clean water and including good medical care.

However, with the increase populations, newly setup industries and expand developments over the years. There are certainly continuous issue affecting and threat to the environments in just one country alone. That is water.

Unstoppable Polluted River

Developed or Developing Countries, it doesn’t matter today as we all share the same issue all over the world. Whenever I look at my very own country, both locals and foreigners are doing the same ignoring the facts they are destroying environment and polluting the waters.

How? They dump rubbish’s and garbage’s to the drainages and rivers almost every day. Even the children’s are following the parent’s examples without any proper guidance. Imagine such behaviors continue over decade, our rivers will slowly later become uninhabitable, increase causing blocks on the drainage and sewages problem which can lead to floods on the areas. Not only that, it can bring diseases. Children’s are especially vulnerable.

What are the solutions to this? Sadly, I have no answers and unable to fight this problem just by the public voicing alone. Even I find it weird that we have lack of educations teaching on the environmental subject issue. Our Governments really have to stand to promote and takes the stricter laws protecting the environments. Otherwise, things will go bad to worse for new generations every year.

We Can Improve the Future

We read about the needs of clean water in Africa and Asia poor developing countries every day. I visit some non-profit organizations that offer 100% public donations and fundraiser for water. Most of them are asking US$20-25.00 for life for one life or building wells and sanitation facilities for water projects. I love the ideas and good peoples involving on the charities works to keep the projects alive until now.

The question is. Is that really enough to solve the problems? Everyone knows both Africa and Asia have huge populations rising and expanding too every year. Not to mention people around the world are facing economies issue, losing their jobs, worrying debt or mortgages and had their own stressful life to deal with. To most of us, US$20.00 is hard earn money and cannot easily simply just by giving out to anyone. So how will this water projects and maintenances to survived in the future plans?

My opinions, we need better health research and improve the technology to bring better ahead of us and the poor developing countries. These also bring much more economical returns on repairs and long term maintenances or supports.

Think about it. Medical research helps to improve health, create medicines cure and prevention against many kinds of deadly diseases. Improve technology helps to create cost efficient advance water projects including better maintenance and repairs. Even green technologies are growing fast popularity these days and we might one day going to have a solar recycling water machine in turning dirty or uninhabitable river water into clean drinking water.

Anything is possible for both medical research and technology. It gives us benefits to the economics and brining even better future creating clean drinking water forever.

Final Words

While this idea and opinions may be just a dream, I believe hope for real solutions. Our governments are already focusing on financing and supporting solar energy developments. But still, it’s not enough. As more and more people around the world are waking up to the clean water crisis. I wish Brunei should start looking right now into it and promote global environment educations as well. It doesn’t matter if our populations are small. As long we act early, we can work together to improve the future.

After I decided to watch Richard Dawkins The Root of All Evil documentary again. It reminds me back about a scientology documentary film by the BBC reporter. It was first called the Panorama: Scientology and Me back in 2008.

Kingston Freebie Arrived!

It took forever trying to claims prizes in Kingston Blog. Thanks to the reckless and greedy members kept on claiming multiple prizes non-stop and post stupid topics or comments to earn fake points. These force the Admin changing stricter rules for claiming prizes these days. Thanks to that, I saved quite a lot of points because I miss so many prize redemptions. Only until today I was able to claim a Kingston HyperX 2GB DDR3 memory ram. I was thinking about going for flash drive, after the second thought about personal PC repair business. I need to prepare tools and parts for hardware testing. I can’t say that is the only purpose. As mention before, there are plenty PC parts laying in my room. So I figure it’s better built another performance PC for back up.

Weekend Sad Shopping

Sad! Not quite a good day going for shopping spree for display shelves and installing car rain guard. I was hoping everything would be a nice day for some fun. Never thought it turns out total nightmare. Geezzz…

I went to check out yesterday for the display shelves and finally found it in Court Furniture Company. The sales told me there isn’t any stock available and have to wait for tomorrow confirmation. The display shelves looks promising to me, big, wide roomy for display and stronger compare to last make. The price is B$120.00 after discount. As for the office chair, none of them fit the taste and the head resting part simply too low. Well, unless I go for the expensive one. My friend told me to check out in capital instead because they are half cheaper. Car not yet arrived, so I have skip and find in other location or just keep using the old one.

There is other cabinet interest me also and thinking about having in the middle on my room so that I can easily arrange the clothes for which to wear on the spot. Rather than putting inside the cabinets clothes storage having hard time to search. My room does getting smaller and hell messy because of the increasing boxes (toys and PC hardware stuff), which is why I am hard finding for the plastic multipurpose drawer in KB. Forget about the other places. They are freaking expensive costing around B$40-60.00+. No way with that. Again, no car and last remaining location to look for is at Giant. Crap!

One Year Completed

This month is the mark of my first year with the new company I worked with. Well, yes I already received my bonus and ready to get roll with it. I have lots of thing in mind right now thinking what to during this month. The only shitty priority is I have to settle half of my mum payments and that sucks because I totally lost nearly 40% of the bonus. That’s right, too much Transformers and borrow money to paid car loan deposit.

Nope, I haven’t received my car yet. Totally good news to me for enough time preparing money for saving to ensure enough covers the future insurance fee. Probably chances of getting the car next month or December. Although I don’t really likes paying during end of the year. Still, it is not yet confirm from the sales agent.

The second priority on my wish list will be replacing my room office chair and a display shelves. I have been a long deciding getting one from IKEA. After checking out at Court Furniture Company few months ago with my friend, I discover a pretty nice quality big display shelves with glass window. The price is good also. The only problem is I’m not sure if it still available today. I am going to check out this week once the bonus cheque is clear at the bank. My toys are expanding without any stopping and too much boxes pilling up. I really need to do something about it.

The third will be PC storage upgrading and build a file server from my left over computer parts. Probably going to be the most spend on. There is no other choice, selling doesn’t worth much so better off continue using until it breaks.

I am really lucky too getting a raise next month. Lesser stress and more to spend on, hell, when am I going to stop? There is no telling at all. I do hope it will once my car is out. Since there won’t be enough money getting anymore toys at all. Uh…Oh….

Yen Raising King

By now, most of you who subscribe HLJ newsletter might already read about the raise of the Yen currency recently. I already expect that happen beginning from last year s after realizing the Yen is falling slightly every month. However, this time it’s different and getting worst.

No idea what am I suppose to buy this month after spending on getting Transformers Micromaster. But I decided to let the HLJ Gundam sales slip pass me again and wait for the price latest update. Everything buying decisions will be decided by next month. For the meantime, I am most likely continued to focus grabbing Transformers Generation 2/3 and recently announce United by Takara Tomy. So many to get and I won’t missed Fansproject Rodimus upgrade either. Hehe…

Telbru – Privilege Card - Update

It’s a free card that everyone wants to apply one. Mine arrived on last week at Seria and that pisses me off greatly. Why? I applied this card on last year November 2009 and finally was told to get it on last week! Is this a joke or what? Does it really needed to take a long ten months to approve? Well, even that’s not the case anymore when open up and found out it was actually already approved on December 2009 last year also! Oh my gosh and how the fuck it can take so long too sent out is really out of question.

Never mind that, I’m not sure how good the offers might give. But so far I know, it was disappointed and one of the listed computer and technology, Netcom Computer House, already no longer accepting this privilege card more than six month now I heard. Why the hell Telbru didn’t remove the partners from the official website merchant lists? No one knows if the other merchants do follow or already walk out many moons ago. To avoid this confusion, I decided to drop them a message to find out more update information on the merchants and will update this post once received the update from Telbru.

Update! Telbru had inform me that Netcom Computer House is still a partner for the privilege card.

Bruneian Bloggers Rights

So, anyone thinking about going there? I’m not interested on the hearing about the rights or something since I know half of rules already. Every one of us might already know the first important rules that bloggers are not allow to insults or write opinions on any related on his majesty and its families private secrets unless you live outside of Brunei. Well, of course this includes the governments too.

I know Brunei is not the country full of free speeches. As always did, I am careful of what to write and expressing. Although I no longer really cares about the Governments headlines, because as long you don’t write fake rumors and everything said is truth. There isn’t anything to afraid of. My only complains so far is just the housing issues and fucking damn long not hearing when we purple holders can applied too.

Understanding more is a good things and hopefully seeing them posting up in the website so that every bloggers can read. No one knows for sure what changes anyone of us might expect from the local Bloggers right legal system. I believe Twitter probably getting involvement too since it was known as mini blogs.

First Look! – eToysJapan.com

Here is another toy shop I discover way back on April during my search in Google. I didn’t take an opportunity to introduce this toy shop because the pre-order for Henkei Hound was very late shipping out last month. So I decided to hold until the right time to post once received the parcel.

eToysJapan.com is quite rare and very unknown company to me. Yes, it’s not even popular and less information about them in the market. So it’s hard to rule out that they aren’t trusted toy seller. Just take extra precaution when purchasing things from them even though I only made one successful order only.

For your information, their original office or HQ is mention station at US. However, the business and facilities operated in Hong Kong. So they are believed largely targeting Asian buyers. The good things are for pre-ordering, buyers doesn’t require make full payment. Only deposit is needed and no deadlines for most pre-order items until it reach the order limits. The shipped out items will be based from Hong Kong so it’s affordable and faster shipping to Brunei too.

How about the price? It’s hard to say but I do admit they are little more expensive compare to others. It really depends, for example my order for TF Henkei Hound only cost me US$20.90 while RK sold US$28.90 during pre-order period. My suggestions here are check and compare the price first before making any orders.

Another Internet Problem Yesterday

No one knows what the heck happen yesterday. It were confirms the every eSpeed users are having trouble accessing to a lot of website. Facebook was among one of them. Trust me, people feel so disasters and impatient unable to access and even played Farmville. One of my colleagues actually dealing such auntie don’t believe probably the eSpeed were the cause. So she calls every of her friend who plays Farmville and even to Canada to check with her daughter if the Facebook is down or not. What? CANADA? I really laugh so hard hearing about this.

But after she told us it was fine over there. My suspicious turning over the exchange server in both KB and Seria because even at my company. The test out also experience the same issue at my home so I decided to sent an email to notify Telbru. After lunch hours, everything backs to normal. As I suspect, there could be something wrong in the exchange servers. Well the technical support guys didn’t says anything and I not even sure if BSB and Tutong were affected.

This also proves one point that either the Telbru IT were doing something or not doing their daily check. But I am much more pissed off that unable to have any stable torrent download lately for almost coming two months now. These fuckers might be doing some shitty installing some new hardware controlling and blocking the torrent traffics. The only time tje torrent works only starting at 5AM+ to 7AM+. That was suck and hard completing any download files within two hours limit. As far I know BSB is working fine and even some KB areas were unaffected. That really pissed me off greatly and decided filed the second complains to Telbru. I don’t believe the undersea cable were damage because that was already over last weeks.

3rd Party Headmaster Preview

Hari Raya really gets in my way when it comes to posting. The review was still under revise and 20% done due to the recent leg was injured. The lazy diseases started spreading throughout my brain and taking nap a lot during holidays.

Anyway, this is one of the 3^rd party Transformers upgrade I have been holding off quite a while. The pre-production Hot Head (from Headrobots.com) mini review was posted at Cybertron.ca. I have to say the upgrade looks really cool even for older Vintage G1 Headmaster toys. Not only have that, the Hot headed itself even able to hold any 3^rd party LEGO weapons so that is an extra.

The only problem now for me is, should I put US$29.90 this month. I pretty overspending lately buying Micromaster Toys at eBay and some order from HLJ haven’t clear up yet. It sure really sucks for me this month.
