You Called Me Uncle? WTF!

I don’t know if age caught up on me but I’m still in the 30’s. However, this starting to occur very often being called ‘uncle’ in the street. What pissed me off was these cunts are in their 30’s too. I don’t know if it was intentional jokes or just a whole misunderstanding since my mom sit beside me. Still, very rude.

Okay, I do admit don’t shave my mustache during weekend. Despite even if a person having mustache, should you simply jump into conclusion calling someone an uncle straightaway for the first time you met? Of course not, I personally see it very disrespectful way of greeting someone. Don’t get me wrong, I accept my cousin and friends children's calling me uncle. They are kids and I cool with that. But by a dude? WTF? Did he even looked himself into the mirror how he looked like? What kind of generation that guy is living in right now? My flaws may not be great in fashion type and good in choosing right clothing. I fully aware how I looked and dared to say myself belong to an average grade human being.

No matter, good rule of thumb. Don’t simply call someone aunties and uncles out of nowhere. Only do that unless you are certain and known that persons very well (like relatives or friends parents etc). Nowadays we usually call people by nick names, first names or sometimes formality way using Mr or Mr’s as greeting.

Anger Strike Back!

It’s really been a long while self explosion anger on someone else. No not the kid I always complained about. I gave up on him already but another working colleague I know for long time which I will call him the ‘manager’ in this post. It truly strikes me it has to come down to this unreasonable and nonsense fighting at work. Of course, I am terrible person swearing and insulted him over the work issue recently. But I’m not sorry for my action. Well, not without reason.

I was given a task by my boss to follow up, inspecting and help to prepare computers to be ready for new project at overseas. Additionally, the computers must able to handle heavy task especially their usage on drawing documents like AutoCAD so good hardware specification is a must. Not only that, it is prioritize jobs to be settle ASAP that definitely affect my current ongoing maintenance jobs because this involve with the directors. The last minutes packing and shipping are unpredictable.

Let’s start off with my boss sending out emails to all the department managements asking if they have any unused good desktop computers at their place can be released for the new projects at oversea. One of them response able to source out five sets for us, good, problem solved. The remaining five sets I was told (also stated in the email) to phone the manager who is a focus point arranging for shipping and if his warehouse had any good desktop computer left. I call him almost 5.00PM and got answer there aren’t anymore. My mind thinking, okay, I have to start fast looking else where. We even joke for a while and mentioning to him the site office location I’m going to source. He even asks for favor helping him find a nice replacement PC over there since he is using very old machine. I said yes and tell him no problem while I am there.

The next day I went over to the exact site office to look for the desktop computer. First thing first, look for the head of the department including the admin and get permission to find any unused computers over there. Suddenly, they told me the manager wants five set desktop computers to be ready ASAP early morning and deliver to his warehouse location on that day for packing. None of the ladies had clear ideas why. So I made a call and asked him what this is about. He started talking differently telling me he and his boss have decided needing them to transfer the five set desktop computers to his place for me to inspect before it get pack to shipped out. The question pop up is why all that sudden and trouble? I started to confuse that time.

First of all, I am already there looking for unused computers and doing inspecting on the spot. There’s empty table and power outlet available. There isn’t any point for me to travel again for 30 min trips to his warehouse location. Secondly there are many unused computers there and has no knowledge which one are working or not. You can’t rely on the admin to check because they are not expertise with it. Thirdly, he didn’t explain if this five sets desktop computers are basically reserved for me or not. Worst, not even his own subordinate who station in the same location knew exactly why.

I tired to press for clearer answer, but few minutes later our conversation heated and got hanged up. I thought mine was out of range, it’s not. I didn’t waste time thinking too much, the more I drag on the more I got myself into trouble not getting it ready. I rush, inspects and finally prepare the five computers sets. Told his staffs to send to the manager location for packing. The remaining five I cleared on the next day delivering to the location and the second day I emailed to informed the guys at oversea that the computers they requested are completed. Half an hour later, my boss phone me telling me that actually I didn’t complete the job and the previous five sets computers I prepared are basically transferred to the manager department to swap their old PC for overseas used. The fuck?

I am so loss of words and anguish seeing how two days spent wasted. Worst, not even a phone call or email ever sent to informed me regarding this arrangement. This is where I started calling and blast him in the phone over this. Of course he didn’t take my behavior lightly, who do when you get angry call like that. His response was that we brought upon this confusion our selves that messed it up. He even told me this was already mention in the email. The problem here was, I never once received such discussion email messages except he mentions about transferring only after he received the five unit. I went thoroughly and checked every written details carefully in the Outlook. If I did, I am in deep shit insulting the manager for no reason. Good news is, didn’t find any and went on blasting back to question him when did this ever happen. He said ask your own boss! Phone hang up. My colleague beside few sit away heard my conversation steps in telling me this is possible. The bad news, my boss indeed knows about this arrangement.

This is whole simple job task becomes from bad to worst after confirming this. Does it mean my boss are all at fault here? Not really, although he is wrong to forgetting telling me including not forward me follow up email message about the new second job task. The problem here was the manager has the responsible to informed me too because I am the key person doing the job and he is the key person arranging for packing and shipping. We both doing the same director oversea project goods. I already call him twice but still keeping quiet. His action no doubt to me is very irresponsible and the secrecy going so far just of the sake of swapping computers. Seriously?

The company itself has retrenched so many employees. Why so afraid there won't be any computers left for the manager to swap? I really do not know what to say to these managements involve in this thinking. Seeing how they so clueless prioritizing between first and second job task really can screw everyone over when this simple thing goes side way.

As for right now, the concern of my time in the company will be in lots of trouble insulting the manager. Who knows I am now in the list of getting fired. Still, not sorry. I don’t like keeping quiet when someone trying to screw my work. I know which to prioritize and will try my best working together to complete it no matter if they don’t respect me. How funny a simple job task can become so complicated. I really have to prepared better survival plan because it will happen more often soon.

Silly Server Disastrous Create by Human

It was definitely silly that I have to waste my effort working over time for nothing. Yesterday, our company server suddenly went disaster when our Exchange services crash at the morning before lunch.  I thought it was normal or even maybe just some errors so I decided to remotely log in and restart the server during lunch. After that, things went nuts and the screen showing the 'Applying Computer Setting' running for more than an hour including signing into the account.

Apparently the problem shows many of the Exchange services crashes unable to start automatically which took freaking long continuously trying load. Luckily, my finding in the event logs prove I didn't screw up the server since the problem started after 11AM. Phew~! But what I'm curios was how the fuck suddenly happen like that?

Well, I’m not a god damn expect on Exchange so have to rely on Google.  I can't seem to be able to find the right answers for two and half hours sitting in the server room figuring out the right solution. I tested many methods doesn't work and did however found about turning on the IPV6 on the Local Area Connection network properties setting. Honestly, I have no confidence on the solution and afraid I might somehow screw it up even more badly. Every choices involve some risk not unless I went for the training then I dared to try. It just never did and the right answer was turning on the IPV6 then it SOLVED EVERYTHING!!!

It was solved by my colleagues at night. Very simple method and just remember when I first install Microsoft Exchange require IPV6 including connected to network to work properly even during fresh installation. No matter if you are not using you must always turn it on. Such little details I couldn’t remember.

This beg a question why it was turned off the first place? We all thought could be a server 2008 |R2 related bug since one of my colleagues who work on it never update or patching any Windows update during fresh installation. Somehow, it wasn't the case not until today it happen again in the morning. We finally caught the culprit and non other my XXXXXXX.

Yup, censor. I have my reason but if you are smart. You should already guess. Nonetheless, I am fucking pissed I work over time and rush back to HQ for nothing when someone simply screws around not even bother to check if the server is running properly or not. Even worst, not informing us he had done something on it, just keeping quiet. I really hate this kind of irresponsible people. Every day, I had to worked angrily thinking how to escape this huge mess and avoid slowly involving into it. I already sick of dealing with a dumbass who still showing no improvement at work and now another trying something silly. I am really sick and tired all of this.

New Syariah Law Create Fear

As an Atheist, I wish this is not happening and sadden by it. The introduction of the new Syariah law really cause a lot of criticisms to the country every time it hit the local news. The latest articles “Wearing indecent clothing is crime under Syariah law” already become the laughing topic of all time and the arguments are still ongoing.

I got to say the majority of the locals who are Muslim does make a good points regards of this matter. Even myself also agree Brunei are simply moving backward. Everyone understand that maintaining tradition is important task making sure the new generation won't forget the old cultures. However, our tourism are poor, less developed and now the raise of unemployment’s, even worst, crimes. Such ongoing problem becomes low priority instead. It was really stupid seeing them pouring all the unnecessary resources getting Syariah law out on April this year.

The legal officials assure us that Syariah law will not affect non-Muslim and will follow same legal system during last year citizenship induction. Now they are saying non-Muslim can be prosecuted. They did mention only unless involve with Muslim. In what manners are still left unquestioned and causing more worried. Why?

Forensic and circumstantial evidence can be rejected in favor of eyewitnesses are definitely bullshit. Don't forget, CCTV footage too were mention recently. How can we allow trusting the eyewitnesses alone without support from the forensic finding in the court? How do we even know the eyewitnesses are not related to the parties? What if the eyewitnesses are racists? This is what everyone fears the most and how the courts going handle the cases.

Of course, I do understand why HM would resort bringing Syariah law. Let's face it, Brunei no longer consider peaceful as describe. You know, I know, people took advantage doing silly things (e.g. Government job scam, remember?) and we forget our surrounding safety. The numbers of crimes are increasing and that is the facts.

No matter what, I still don't agree going such extend taken against the Muslim. Some may like it but majority (be honest) doesn't. My most concern are hoping for the news of the citizenship status because I heard serious shit and am fucking pissed learning from someone behind it. For now, we just have to wait for the upcoming HM announcement speech on the national day.

Disrespectful Locals Supporters Tainted The Country Image

I didn’t expect this news broke out so bad when few locals blog the story of how disappointment experience at the football match with Myanmar last few days ago. A lot of local’s supports apparently show very disrespectful towards other national anthem, also causing hurting to the Burmese girl and so on. Wow, how nice of you people showing the world how ugly Brunei going to be like.

It is not wrong to boo during the match. But throwing rubbish and making fun on foreign supporters are over disgusting to do. The policeman as well doing bad jobs not catching the culprit who hurt someone, of course same goes for the witnesses protecting the garbage.

Don’t Believe Something That is NOT TRUE! #1

Two days ago, I was having a conversation with my friend about our admin Malay girl possibility she is pregnant. He told me that probably she didn’t tell us because she will lose her baby if she told us instead to her husband or family. What the fuck? Time out! Time out! Say what again? You are telling me that if she tells us first she will lose her pregnancy?

Where the fuck did he gets this kind of rumor from? Is this from the Malay culture or what? He told me that this is true and even applied to the Chinese as well. You know what. BULLSHIT! This is the stupidest traditions joke ever heard in my life. I don’t know whom he gets this rumor from. I bet this person who has sense of humor is trying to scare the couples or women in the past and suddenly passes down to the next generation. Now I can remember why many of my cousins kept quiet about their pregnancy in the previously before telling the families and cousins.

I don’t understand why people are so easily continue to fall this kind of false rumors. If you were going to lose your baby or pregnancy, it will be the doctors who bring misfortune. Why? Because they will be the first who verify and told you are pregnant! Not you!

Angry Birds Up for Pre-Order

I am pretty sure you guys already read the news last month. You all are going to jump in for one five plush birds toys. Rovio will be selling five 8” plush birds for each US$14.99 and going to ship out in December holiday. It was told going to be limited! Of course, I also plan to get them fast. But for all of us living in Brunei, better hold off first because you don’t like to see what I am posting below.

Yes, the total shipping and handling for five Angry Birds cost me US$699.99 using UPS Saver. What in the world those birds made off? That was truly surprising and sad. So I sent out a mail for inquiry if that was a mistake. Hopefully I am able to get the answer by tonight or tomorrow.

Internet Surfing Crawling

Something is terribly wrong with eSpeed this week and normal surfing the internet including downloading is crawling like shit! Thanks to that I lose my two bids from eBay because it won’t load the website properly during the critical time closing. Well, good for saving my spending but bad for losing exclusive deals.

I already done my eSpeed test last night and it appear to be correct speed on download and upload. I check my phone line, everything works perfectly. Luckily I have few friends using Twitter so I am able to keep track on their update and manage to found out that they are experiencing the problem too. Its funny why the network engineers unable to spot this issue in the first place and waited for the customers to start complains before taking action. I made the call and the operator has confirmed with me there is a problem.

You can’t possibly get too much information from an operators so you should refrain firing them for the problems. The only people should be blame and get fuck is those network engineers taking so long to fix the problem or maybe not doing anything at all. This is why our country business performs so badly because of the incompetent internet services causes so much trouble and temporary down from time to time. All they know is blaming on the exchange system or because your locations are too far and your phone line has problem. What’s more?

Nowadays every business is depending on the internet to work 24 hours and yet we continue experience such issue from Telbru (and Brunet) without trying to solve it. We pay so much for fucking internet charges and hoping for better change in the internet performance and yet we got no improvement at all. I don’t know what to say any longer to Telbru and believe this is what they want the customers to be growing tired complaining. Not for me, as long I am in need the internet working. I will continue to made my complains and find out what the hell is wrong with it. I worked as IT technician have to do multitask in work to keep track on every issue too. All else I am also get fuck by my bosses even it wasn’t my job in the first place.

Okay, there are guesses on this problem. I suspect it got to do with the US connection link between Asia got cut off or maybe there are problems. Since, there are no news about any under water optic fibers been damage so finger cross. However, I did notice those sending email to certain countries address are experiencing bounce back issue. Just my thought.

My Nightmare with Hobby Search

I am starting to hate Hobby Search more and more than ever. It seems like their customer’s services and the system of their pissed me off greatly whenever I place my order. Some of you might not have any problem with them, in my case there were a lot and I am pretty disappointing with the treatment.

If you read my previous post about the Visa card issue, it was confirm by HSBC staff that require for replacement (Shewsbury previous comment also mentions it) next week because I stop the transaction. This is really too bad for me to renew everything again including the Paypal.

According to the bank, the transaction was also already blocked. I was wondering how Hobby Search going to react when the card numbers was already cancel? Hahaha… No, I am kind enough to ask them to tell me the name they are using it to charge the customers. They just continue so stubborn and refuse to tell and so, I block the transaction as I treat it as a fraud charges.

I also received the response from the Hobby Search yesterday regarding the issue and because one of the items was out of stock. They can do whatever they want without informing the buyers about it, as long you selected “just ship available items (Shipping faster)” during your checkout. There are no escapes methods from this.

It was god damn expensive shipping only one item, but luckily I choose the 50% off item so I am not quite fully piss off yet.

Visa Card Just Got Block - Update

Apparently, it was Hobby Search mistake causing confusion on my HSBC credit card transaction. I just received the information that my item was shipped out while ago and after checking the amount. It was 2,116 Yen that was mention by the operator and damn, because of their system made a big mistake on my order. I told the HSBC guy that was not the order I made yesterday because the amount is more than 2,000 yen. This got me into a mess and now my Visa card has to be ban and require replacing for a new one. Geezzz!

God damn it, Hobby Search. Now I have to wait for their response on their ordering system mistake and also either going to HSBC bank or wait for their call if it possible to lift my Visa card ban. Argg…

Man, just now, I thought who is calling my hand phone when seeing the unknown number. Didn’t expect that was HSBC operator (whom I thought is the kidnapper) and inform me that there are unauthorized transactions charges made from Japan. I have no idea who was that company and I can’t get clear information about the person trying to charge me because the operator act like a deep shit talking to me.

When I try to confirm and asked him to check the amount, it doesn’t add up. In the end, I have to get my card ban from using it and require replacing it in the nearby bank. Fuck, I have two more upcoming pending payments and it suddenly come to this. This is not good!

Bringing Up Edison Chen Stupid Story

Do you believe it? After two years of the Edison Chen scandal shits happen. Someone in Brunei really thinks we IT Technicians would do the same things do them. I was totally gone blank when one of the bosses brining up this story because I didn’t do a full format on his PC. Well, it wasn’t because why I didn’t want to do it. But rather he was telling me to replace the hard disk only so of course what we IT Technician do is clone the whole things without require to do reformat, this result no data loss and no changes at all. That’s it.

Since he also didn’t give me any instruction about reformatting, my job is 100% to make sure his stuffs and data don’t get fuck up. All else, I would definitely get sue or fired straight from my job. Of course, I didn’t really pay much attention why he still replacing the same hard disk size while his data are getting larger not until I asked him. Then his question me do I know about the Edison Chen case and how his stuffs were leak out. I was like, what the hell does he have to bring up this thing, wasn’t this an old celebrity story? Everything went totally blank on my mind at the time and he told me people (also referring us) might do the same thing to his PC. I don’t really know how to response his question. To me, who really want to steal his information that doesn’t worth a single millions of dollars or even who aren’t even an important person in Brunei? I can’t say about people might threatening him or getting caught in the tape having sex or affair with another woman. If you doesn’t have any of these, why do you afraid of?

I know there is such person who have nothing do it would do all sort of this thing trying to recover the secret stuffs left behind in the hard disk drive. But so far in our country, the numbers of IT Technicians commit this kind of crime is very low, like 1-2% for those home users PC. For business companies, I find it very less likely going to happen unless the employees itself are stealing the data. But so far I never heard of such cases except once two years ago which I don’t want to talk about it.

But if you really want to make sure your piracy and confidential stuffs never get leaks out. Defrag your hard disk drive every month and backup your data to another personal external storage or best yet, you can use some free shredder programs to get rid the data in your hard disk drive that cannot be easily recoverable which is the best solutions rather changing your hard disk drive only. Pathetic Day

It was totally a pathetic day for me. During my tenth days at work, someone tried to PAKAT me because I wasn’t using hand rail when I was carrying a heavy stuff. This dude totally brainless and doesn’t think at ALL! This fucker thinks that I am made of superman. How the hell I suppose to use one hand carrying the heavy stuff walking up to first floor? Isn’t this going to be more dangerous and unsafe way of carrying any heavy objects? I almost quarrel with this asshole after my friend told me to take this as a joke and just forget it.

Okay, I had done that. But still, I really felt so angry at those people working in oil & gas industries these days are so abusing using PAKAT system. I can doubt that less than 20% of the employees in Brunei understand these systems. Why? They can simply PAKAT everyone or anything without knowing if they are actually working unsafely or not. The worst are sometimes doesn’t even involved about safety and just made up nonsense that you made mistake in your work.

I don’t really like how this PAKAT system going because this could even leads you getting fired from your jobs or quarrels with your colleagues in the companies as it might destroy your relationship with bosses around you. If you received the PAKAT from someone who suddenly nail behind your back, you can either sign it or choose not to sign. It’s your own choice to admit if it’s true or just false accusations. But you have to go to your head office and explain details why you disagree. All I can say it 100% won’t goes well for all. I know safety is very important and bring awareness to the surrounding. But I simply don’t like it a bit about this until now no one bother to understand the details of why it was not safety.

If you don’t know what it means, I myself have little knowledge about the PAKAT origin since I don’t work HSE (Health and Safety Executive). As far I know, it was like a daily safety programs require for every employee who working onsite or in the office to write about the unsafe incident reports encounter by them. It is a common standard safety management system (SMS) for oil & gas industries around the world.

Another stupid thing happen also calling to 121 Telbru centre in the afternoon. I was so mad at the male operator talking nonsense to me that if your speed is lower than 512kbps. I shouldn’t complain unless its lower 300kbps. I was like what? Is this idiot making fun of me? I was totally mad about it after the above incident and fire at him without second thought that I won’t accept such answer coming from him. The question to him is what residential plan are we paying for right now? 512kbps speed every month or fucking lower? I want him to show me the policy. If there are such cases coming from Telbru, I will definitely post it to Brudirect or direct to their bosses of such employees behavior in the phone. For now, I will continue to see how its going.

Otaku Burns Down Mother’s Home in Gundam Revenge

A man has burnt down his home after his mother threw out his Gundam collection, lamenting “I’ve lost my precious Gundam, I may as well die.”

The man, a 29-year-old factory worker and Gundam collector in Hyogo prefecture, who needless to say lived in his mother’s house, became so distraught at the loss of his collection at the hands of his mother that felt his only recourse was fire.

He doused his room in kerosene and ignited it with a lighter, causing a conflagration which swiftly burnt the two storey wooden house to the ground.

Apparently not quite ready to die along with his Gundam, he fled the house and escaped without injury.

His mother (55), who was in the building as her son burnt it down, also escaped.

He explained what happened thus: “My precious Gundam plamo were all thrown out by my mother; I thought I’d die too.”

He has been arrested on charges of arson.

China Scammer Won’t Stop Calling

Damn, that China bitch scammer, I can’t believe she was so patient enough non-stops calling to my hand phone for at least two month! I have been ignoring her call since then. But I couldn’t hold it any longer so I started to act like I am somebody else and speak two different languages to fuck her off.

I really have to gives an award though that she manage to keep her scamming job running for coming two years now. If you encounter a phone number starting 5550800, simply ignore it or if it keeps on continue. The only way is challenge head on the phone.

Two months of her disturbing calls is really annoying and hope she get shot in China as a crime scamming other people non-stop. You can read Shimworld post reports the exact as mine.

Office Chair Explodes, Kill Boy.

That was a serious shit and those office chair can be found any where. Seems like more stupid daily things to worried again. Here's the news post from Gizmodo.

Well, stories don't get much worse than this. A 14-year-old boy in China was killed when his chair exploded, sending chunks of metal into his rectum. The bleeding this caused killed him.

The alleged explosion came from the gas cylinder that was in the base of the chair, the part that allowed the user to adjust the seat up and down. The canister gets compressed when you sit on it, but can it actually create enough energy to make the seat cushion explode like that and kill a man? I doubt it, but this is what people are reporting.

I don’t know you guys, but after reading one of the Kotaku post. It was totally unbelievable the Japanese game developer would go so far making rape simulation PC games call “RapeLay”. The parents will definitely goes berserk if their kids play this game. Not to mention that the game is already up in the torrent for quite a while. Too all parents out there, if you see your children download such game call Rapelay, you should stop them immediately and smack their head.

Although the developer say it was not intentionally selling outside Japan, but someone manage to slip through it and up into the ebay or torrents. Woman Gave Away Fortune for 'Eternal Life'

What a dumb thing to do asking for an eternal life from feng shui master. I do not believe this sort of things. If feng shui can make these wish of eternal life exist, I don’t think this world would really want to spend their funding on science and researching anti-aging. I believe new war world might even begin for the sake of it and not to mention they will become the world richest person you will never imagine.
