When There Is Crime, There is Con.

Took me a while to hold this post. I was waiting and making sure my new official receipt with warranty was received before I start saying anything. Nightmare? No, like a stupid joke. I really like this local computer shop and usually get quite a lot of stuffs from them for both personal and for company. After the bad warranty experience, I am now had to be extra careful dealing with them and reconsider new way to counter the problem.

What happen? My home wireless router two LAN ports suddenly went kaput last month and I couldn’t get it work again. The LAN ports is important because I have headless PC running taking advantage of the gigabit speed feature for file sharing. Since the wireless router cover three years warranty, I search for the receipt and send for replacement the next day.

The technician need to inspect confirming the problem before he could arrange the replacement. After few days, no news which is strange for the delay. I decided to call up for an update. The technician confirmed the problem, but then he told me the wireless router no longer cover with warranty. Excuse me? I asked him did you looked at the official receipt I gave to you? It says 36 months. He said yes but their system only register one year. My answer to him that’s not my problem. As long, I am holding the original receipt, you guys must honor it. Then he say they will investigate and get back to me soon the next day which btw already one week. The technician call up and gave me bad news they unable to find any replacement and similar model. Well, what are you guys going to do about it? You guys have to provide options and solutions.

Now, this is where they started to piss me off. First of all, I do not want to blame the technician. Apparently it was the mystery's idiot known as purchaser gave him the instruction. The offer here was forcing me topping up $60 to get different model. The stupid part, the warranty will continue up to May 2018. You can’t even provide me the replacement or refurbish device, even they don’t intend to send for repair. Why the fuck should I take that garbage deal that doesn’t make sense? The answer is no.

The only condition I will accept if they provide me new warranty deal for another two years by continuing the existing then we will call it even. I gave the purchase another week to reconsider. However, the answer say no after the PC technician told me and insist to pay for the top up. I told him I am giving one last chance to that idiot to think twice, if he/she can’t even offer me better options then I have no choice but to bring this to the consumer affairs department and let them deal with all these nonsense. As long, the official printed receipt is with me. My case against the computer shop are very strong and confidence that the official will agree that this was ridiculous deal when they were supposed to honor warranty replacement at no cost. Do the purchaser really want to fight with me and risk damage the shop reputation over $128.00 BND replacement? Nonetheless, the idiot think smart and the problem was settle with new warranty deal. Am I happy? Not really.

The way how the local computer shop handle the customers register purchase information has become clear to me they can replace the information anytime they want or likely where employee's may made mistake inputting wrong data. My strong advise was scan and keep your purchase receipts in good condition especially three years warranty devices. Make sure you keep one of their brochures (and promotions) with warranty information printed the better. These guys can simply say my device only cover with one year when the receipt printed three years. Can you imagine what happen if you lose it or the printed fonts fated in the receipts? Probably I will let you think the outcome yourself.

Should I Get OEM Gaming PC or Back with Build Your Own?

Aspire_GX_design

Building your own gaming PC usually is the most recommended route to take. But after MOF slap 5% tax in Brunei, my mindset have to change if I want to continue bringing parts from Singapore. The airport and the post office customs are becoming more active inspecting the stuffs coming into the country. So it’s not a joke if you get caught sneaking in and I’m sorry, 5% tax (reported more) is a fucking big deal to me right now.

I’m currently considered getting from the local computer shops. But who is the best should I source the parts from? Few of my friends recommend me Chong Hock computer and told me their price are quite reasonable. In order to find out whether its true or not, I went to their FB and PM for the quotation for CPU, motherboard, graphic card, their recommendation memory ram and power supply unit last week. What do you know, I was surprised the price they quote me.

They are unimaginable very competitive even I admit it was acceptable price you can get locally. Chong Hock also confirmed me their warranty follows the original manufacturer so it's a double plus. In case, you wonder what kind of hardware am I asking for. It’s the AMD Ryzen 1700X, MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon, MSI RX580 Gaming 8GB, lastly their recommendation Corsair 2666 (not sure which model) memory ram and Cooler Master V850 (modular type) power supply unit. All of these total cost around $1950.00 (BND). If I choose AMD Ryzen 1600X, the total cost would be 1,774.00.

Now, let’s compare to OEM gaming system everyone now could get in Brunei. With this money you can get an OEM Acer Aspire GX-281-1700 for $1,838.00. When you purchase from Netcom Computer House (September 2017 brochure), the bundle comes with 24” Gaming LED LCD monitor and Kingston Hyper X Cloud Stinger Gaming headset including free speaker (selected model). You are basically paying with all in one package deal.

Acer Aspire GX 281-1700 is an interesting and likely the most affordable gaming PC compare to Predator series. Not without sacrificing the performance and features. Yes, it has AMD Ryzen 1700X but the rest are basically downgraded and assemble with the cheapest hardware's Acer could put together. The AMD RX480 graphic card 4GB is okay, the motherboard reported using B350 model and chassis design only able to house two 3.5” (2.5”) HDD from what I see from the reviewer photos. The HDD expansion slots will be a future issue not unless I plan to buy dedicated NAS machine to host my files. I am environment friendly person and will continue to use existing PC for custom NAS running so nope.

I felt a bit surprise about the additional 24” Gaming Led LCD monitor. I deal quite a bit with Acer Aspire product and never failed to amaze me with the extra they willing to throw at. While the Acer Aspire GX 281-1700 hardware cannot really compete with the spec I plan to build (incomplete) above, the price and the stuffs you get really just unbeatable.

As for right now, I haven’t decided yet which path to choose. My aim are seeking the right PC gaming hardware able to last around 4-5 years. Yes, Acer Aspire GX 281-1700 does met the requirement and I can loan using credit card payment. Chong Hock computer require in cash payment. It just that I want to keep my spending minimum without regrets especially how do I going to reusing the existing good old Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 (I got two, mind yuo). There is no reason for me to get another chassis when you can’t even sell it off and recycle for money. I know my chassis are classic especially without or upgrade any USB 3.0 ports. Since I am flying to Singapore coming November, I will be heading to Cybermind hunt for DIY parts. From there onward, I may already have an answer for my need.

Accidentally Wipe Out Scheduled Posts

Yeah, I did put lots of effort trying write for my blog. There are many things I wanted to lashed and talks about it. My shitty fingers just hit delete the entire pending topics after realizing I am writing in the header column. Now I have to rewrite the whole topics again. As for now, I will write short recap of the things I did last few weeks (and today) after I came back from Kota Kinabalu work trip.

First, I joined the charity run this end of the month. Since Schlumberger is celebrating its 80th anniversary in Brunei and decided to hold a charity run in Seria which is closed to my home location rather driving a long way to capital. Why not try doing some challenge for 5KM Borneo Bulletin category.
I personally not an active charity runner because I do jogging and work out on weekdays. Weekend are my days off for relaxing and building Gunpla

Next, finding plastic storage drawers for Lego to sort out the bricks. I did found 9 drawers storage at Soon Lee Mumong last month. BTW, it cost BND12.90 each. But I decided to put on hold seeking out more selections at different location this month. Good news was the 30 drawers storage model was spotted at Soon Lee, Sea View location and cost BND19.90 each.
Now for the bad news, there are price treachery. So you need to be extra careful. Can you imagine the same 9 drawers storage found at Mumong branch cost BND15.90? They add another BND3.00 more. There is possibility you could purchase much cheaper price around BND16.90 if found at Mumong branch? I kinda hate this grocery store when they do this kind of tactic. Not the first time and I’m going to hold off until upcoming Brunei ends of the year sales.

Lastly, the damn old car acting up again. The engine temperature needle suddenly pointing to dangerous high red when I hit brake at the highway before turning to Mumong entrance. After few seconds when I drive to Mumong road, the temperature drop back to normal on the way home. The next morning I did a check on the water tank and found decrease. I refill and drive around, same thing happen and arrange to send over to the workshop.
The mechanic found no leak in the water tanks and the hoses. Goods news at least. However, they did another check and suspect radiator cap might be damage causing the water leaks out including incorrect engine temperature needle reading. I got it replaces today and going for test drive this Monday morning to see if the problem still persist.

Local Toys Hunting in Sept 2014

Last Sunday I drive up early to capital before picking up my sister at 2PM from Singapore flight. Thinking it’s been a while I went hunting for toys in the local shop. My first stop is always at Toy R Us in Mabohai since my Stars point almost reaching 250 to claim for $10 voucher. I was hoping the Transformers Generation 3.0 would be still available there. Too bad, there aren’t any except the old triple changes stocks.

Many of them are AOE series but majority doesn’t attract my attention except the Evasive Prime for some reason. Still, I decided to spend more time looking around to decide which to go. When reaching the Lego area, I was surprise to find new theme called Ultra Agent. So far only saw Toxikita's Toxic Meltdown and Hurricane Heist set in the shelves. They both look great to be honest, but there are times you need to set a budget limit while shopping. If I happen to saw Ultra Agents Mission HQ, my reaction definitely gone crazy. Luckily it’s not there so wallet budget limit remain safe.

As for Evasive Prime, I somewhat remember the 3rd party upgrade is coming this month. Of course, I double check the mold and design to see if it really worth the spending. Well, the toy itself overall design is not bad so I go straight getting it. As for the upgrade, I will buy next month because I spend something big this week which I later going to write later. If you wonder what 3rd party upgrade I am looking forward next. The picture below says all

EACON 2012 – The Shops

It was great to see new community and shops setting in EACON last year. Even though I have no idea why a computer shop were setup in the events. Still it is good to see the place fill up with different interesting stuffs. I got to say the Yeszone – Enterprise from Seria wins the attention to the visitors.

Lego Agent 2.0 Aerial Defense Unit–GET!

HA! I went to brought the Lego Agent 2.0 Aerial Defense Unit (8971) set yesterday when after seeing at the KB local toy shop offering damn great deal on Saturday. I can't turn down this B$115.90 price and not to mention cover with plastic seal.

Nowadays this set already cost twice and triple if you plan to get online. Well, of course at eBay. Quite lucky I am no one yet grab this set while I done some survey and calculating for the original market price. It was a dangerous move delaying purchase this 2009 release Lego. So I guess best to prepare a list of the pricing and keep into my phone to making better choice. LOL!

I also grab another two more mini-fig and a brick removal tool. I have been looking for that so long and happily grab one without holding back.

End of April 2012

Considering this is a late last minute shopping in the local store. I decided to grab some paints but instead just two Lego Mini Figure series 6 and a Tamiya primer. My stuffs are currently on the way so I need this primer to do some work for me. I didn’t buy much since today the last day of April. I best save a bit and begin my shop fest tomorrow.

Yesterday I also done some old Gunpla stock that I left over. Well, it’s Mr Bushido actually. Since I got Smultron cheap at HLJ last order, I plan to rebuilt and do some mixing into Shogun. It is still in progress so I decided did some blurry image until final mixing phase. BTW, the Kotobukiya claw sword does suit well with Shogun.

Anyway, before I head off. The two series 6 I got from inside are Alien san and mechanic.

Toys “R” Us Open in Brunei

Many great joy and cheers finally seeing Toys “R” Us open in Brunei. Last Sunday I (with sis and cousin) went over there after sending my mom and nephew to the airport. The location isn’t really friendly finding for KB folks. I did remember how to get there in the past (5-6 years) but needed to drive around to recall the way.

The place occupied almost half the blocks and sees tons of toys there. Damn, what a wonderland for me. But what are cost of the toys there? Seriously I don’t know if it would be correct comparing to Miri branch? My cousin can answer since he brought many toys over there. According to him, yes, most of the toys here are cheaper around 5-7+. It may not be much because you can’t compare the current high exchange rate for ringgit.

So did I get anything there? Well, I choose Lego City 4 in 1 Super Pack currently sold for BND$39.90. I was thinking about going for Nerf Stampede which price at $79.90 with extra free bullet pack. Thanks to my carelessness overly order Gunpla last month. I have to limit my budget spending for this month.

It just too bad I haven’t seen any Lego Space Defense Force Alien Conquest there yet even not seeing any Transformers Reveal the Shield. Probably because just open not long ago so may be more coming sooner I hope. Not sure if we might expect seeing Toy “R” Us exclusive toy there or not. If there are, man I am going to drive up there to hunt more toys since I got a membership card during my purchase.

For your information, you must spend more than BND$50.00 to be eligible getting free membership card. The card are usable in Asia no matter which Toy “R” Us branch you visit. If you got the card from Miri, you can also use it there.

Transformers 3: DOTM and Window Shopping

Since I already got my salary yesterday and happen to taking off for yesterday. I decided to drive straight to The Mall and grab my ticket for Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie 3D in the morning without second thought. Not going to say much or spoiler alert here but sure better than Revenge of the Fallen. Although, there is feeling some cut scenes in there which push the story too fast. The movie itself this time also didn’t introduce much on the new characters and less action for the bots too. Hopefully we are going to sees some extra cut scene in Blu-Ray release soon.

After the end of the movie, I drop by Go Figure! to check out toys if there anything I plan to get. So far Halo Reach was the main attracting toys wanted to collect and have them in my display cabinet for a long time. The price is good for me except the two pack figure somehow does seem to be over price. Sorry, I just use to buying online and did a research for the two pack pricing. EBay Singapore sells the two pack almost similar price but only at US selling cheaper which is two pack price of one. The Warhog vehicle is also available with a nice 30% off as well seeing Ghost Rapid Assault vehicle too. Argg…

If you are fan of Halo Reach, it’s a good start getting from Go Figure!, their price is right. Just the two packs version you might need to reconsider or tried to ask a discount from them. Yeah I did consider getting a Spartan and Warhog together but after the recent back pain due the damage office chair I am still using in my room. It’s time to get a new one at Court Furniture in the capital for B$149.00 sales. There is no way I choose spending toys over continue hurting my back. Not to mention using for 6-7 years already and badly damage. Cheap bastard am I?

Soon I drove to CH-Toynation toy shop in Kiulap to check their new shop as well and found a display base wanted to get for use in upcoming EA CON Gunpla competition. BTW they also have 30% off for the Gunpla including other (if I remember correctly) so do check it out too and the EA CON ticket still available up for grab. My work will be reveal soon coming week once I retake the photos. The first photo shoot turn out quite blur so submitting will be a problem.

Transformers Grapple Get!

I simply couldn’t ignore Grapple in the local shop and decided to break the bank taking him into my collection. Damn me! Anyway, I would like to correct the price previously mention in the last post. The price is actually $53.90, not $58.90. Sorry about that!

Transformers G2 Prime and Wreck Gar Spotted!

When I thought the Hasbro G2 Optimus Prime is a goner in Asia online shop and had to go through eBay. I was lucky enough to find him sold in the Nanyang toy shop at KB. Wreck Gar also there and is the last remaining. Without letting go the last one, I decided to grab both of them first. All else I am going to regret again. For your information, it’s $28.90 each. Man, I really hate to say the Optimus is getting smaller. No matter, his upgrade is coming.

Also the first series of voyager version also available which sold for $58.90 $53.90 each and I am planning to get Grapple next month. April is a bit tight so I have to hold off for now unless something good happen. Hopefully I am able to see Warpath to be available soon.

One more thing, in case you missed out the Hasbro Transformers Universe / Classic 3-Pack that contains Rodimus, Cyclonus & Galvatron. Nanyang local toy shop has in stock too.

Trip to Bandar + Window Shopping - Part 2

At the Mall, there are always limited shopping choices in my lists. I only need half an hour to finish walking around to find what I need, unless there are special events like PC Fairs or something. While continue to wait for my shoe and continue to suffer boringness. I decided to kill off the time and went to watch the latest movie called Skyline, which is a mistake choice btw. I should have gone for Unstoppable movie instead.

Anyway, I’m not going to spoil or reveal any story for Skyline movie. My personal view, the movie is good and possible part 2 coming. The only complain I feel about at the cinema Mall is putting TOO much and useless advertisement. What the hell are they thinking? I’m not quite sure if that is good way promoting the business or helping them to earn income. To me, it’s really annoying spending almost 10 minutes sitting there watching it.

Okay, after finishing watching the movie and receive the Adidas Watkins 2 running shoe. My next location is to new Time Square Mall. I never been there before and need to phone my friend up for direction. Once I got an idea how easy to drive there, the unexpected encounter is the roads is terrible small and fill with holes. I was again lucky enough to get the parking space in front of the main entrance.

Nothing fancy or many shops open yet there. Many of them still under renovations so expect the places look very boring and quiet. Nonetheless, I continue to check out the place and specially dropping by a furniture shop selling IKEA. I’m not really sure if that shop belongs to the same shop in JLN Mata Mata. The selling price is not what I really hoping for, only accessories are affordable from my point of view.

The only thing I got from there so far is plastic multi drawers at GIANT for B$29.90. Smaller and different than the one I brought from Soon Lee. Better than nothing, as long the design looks better than those selling double price and ugly.

Now, the next move is hunting for display shelves before heading home. I’m not really good with the locations in BSB. So I only drop by to the recommended places in Jalan Tutong. Sadly, most of them never sell display shelves I like. The one introduced me are old fashion design. What a dumb ass sales showing me such a tasteless thing.

It was a time waster for at least an hour. No more thinking and went straight to Star Home Enterprise in Mata Mata just get the Glass Detolf instead. Sad again, all were sold off. Dammit, why am I so unlucky at getting for display shelves? Either gets into fight with fucking sales girl in KB or gotten overly pricey display shelves and now out of stock. Dammit!

Anyhow, in the end I simply go for getting IKEA 1x Rigga clothes rack, 2x Bumerang Skirt (for jeans please) Hangers, 1x SKUBB storage 5C and lastly 1x set clothes hanger. All together cost B$85.50 and you can see the finished DIY clothes rack photo above. I am really happy with the purchase, never thought the Rigga clothes rack is a good quality made and stronger compare to those sold in Soon Lee.

On and all, it was a good trip to BSB for window shopping and most of the things that can now draw a cross on the wish list. Hopefully next time I go to BSB again able to grab display Detolf.

Trip to Bandar + Window Shopping Part 1

If it wasn’t Setia Motors insist me going up their main branch collecting the cheque personally. I won’t be planning to for some window shopping and had to borrow car from my sister. I really wish I could get my new car next month so that it will be easier next time.

Now, after collecting my cheque and went straight to the nearby Baiduri banking in the money before headed to The Mall. Morning was good over there and easily found a parking outside. I went straight to Maya Silk Emporium shop to check out Adidas running shoe. I not that kind of person bother much on the shoe design or latest products. As long it worked best for my barefoot and comforting during exercising. Since the guys told me they had to send the new pair from the store. I decided spend some time dropping by CH-ToyNation and Go Figure! including Kawan Ria toy shop for survey.

BTW, I got an Adidas Watkins 2 (Running/Course) shoe for B$120.00.

Ahem…Yup, I didn’t buy any single thing. I know I’m an asshole when it comes to pricing. But somehow, none were interests me except Gundam and trying to look out for MP Grimlock. Too bad, Kawan Ria pricing were so expensive that I have to walk off. Not all, some of them are okay with me especially the HGUC and limited bundle Unicorn with display head stand. I understand Yen has been weakening in the exchange rate and affect the entire business. Nothing against them, it just I use to buying and compare pricing from the internet so which makes me nowadays not use to buying through the local shop.

Go_actiontoy

Go Figure Shop on the other hand has been expanding and improved. It’s good to see them started selling iGear products (Sorry! blur photo!), comics, t-shirts and Star Wars collection. Again, not quite a fan on comic characters except Halo and Metal Gear so far. I did however saw MP Grimlock display in the shelves. It is an open package and the price kinda too expensive for me to afford. I cannot tell if that is the limited released version seems like I have to search through eBay or wait for restock in RK.

Continue Part 2 soon.

Nanyang Shopping: Power Core Combiner

No idea what is the best category to list the Nanyang company. All you need to know they sell toys, gifts, produce photos, sell cameras and quite few more I have no idea to describe it. What surprising thing was that they have been around even I hasn’t born yet. Thanks to them, the forever toys loving habits everything influence from there.
I always visit the Nanyang shop once in a month and gets the Tamiya colors spray painting there. It just that sometimes I ignore the toy sections after addicted shopping online instead. I have to admit so stupid overlooking the local toy shops when you can get 15%-20% cheaper. For example my recent purchase TF Power core Combiners: Smolder with Chopster, Bombshock and Skyburst sets. Both of them only cost me B$79.70. If I choose to get in Robotkingdom.com, the total would have cost me B$114.79. It really does save me a lot of money. Well, i guess from now on i have to be more supportive on more local toy shops. ^^
Alright, as for the toys, I decided to keep it short here. Probably most of you already read about mixed review reactions feedbacks from the TF community. For my own opinion, yes, there are different transformation design flaws on each Power Core Combiners toys especially during combination with the drones. Some look good and some don’t. Some even looks good rather not combining. But so far it’s not a disappointments toy either and quite liking them too.

Click read more for some more photos for your eyes review!

April 2010 - Weekend #1

Sunday is always boring day for me. The only things I could do on that hours both watching movies or anime and even sleeping the whole day. It makes me so lazy and I don’t know why. But luckily I think about building my Gunpla and yes, working on MG Blue Frame 2nd revise. It was already half building it and the painting will starts this weekend, hopefully.

I have to say it’s a nightmare working on these new kits. I made a lot of mistake and even broke the hips so badly unable to fix it. Since I got three last year, I will use the next parts to continue my work. Truly very sad that I have to find ideas to modify it no matter how I look at it. Damn, the Bandai kits making the plastic weaker which contains many holes these days.

Without wasting too much my time thinking the stupid Gundam things, I went to Soon Lee to stock up on my daily foods and doing some window shopping on a small toy shop. To my surprise, I finally able to get the sword stand for my GFF Shin Musha. I nearly didn’t know they sold separately while I was checking out the bundle steel swords with stand. It was all black without any gold color in the flower emblem. But it was okay since it sold it for B$0.80 each and I can do some coloring if I wanted too.

After finished shopping, went back home and starts hitting Command & Conquer 4: Tiberium Twilight PC game. I just got it yesterday from the post office and this will be the last DVD game I am ordering to ship into Brunei. Everything will purchase through Steam online to help me save the entire taxing fee problem.

How’s the game, you might asked. If you read the reviews and fans critics, yes, the game missions SUCK! I am so regret buying the DVD at PA. I should have brought Supreme Commander 2 instead, everything is too late now. I am quite a C&C fan but I didn’t expect the game becoming worst and worst every new release. The multiplayer mode is good for me but the single player campaign? Arggg…hate to say that I should rather pirate it because the games suck so badly no one really can imagine. If you thinking about buying this game, no and don’t buy until you sees 50-70% off. This EA game doesn’t worth US$49.90 at all in the first place.

Budget Photo Booth Project

As mention last month, I have finalized the total spending on the photo booth materials and light equipments yesterday. It surely took me a while going through because of some unexpected addition material. Nevertheless, the total still comes in lower B$50.00 on the extra spending for basic photo booth setup for me.

Here is the photo of the materials and the equipments I brought based on my ideas during my survey on the hardware shops.

  • 1x Slot Angle Bar 1.1/2” x 1.1/2” = $11.50
  • 12x Bolt and nuts for angle bar = $0.60
  • 4x Screws and washer = $0.40
  • 2x Mini Florescent lamp 8 WATT = $14.00
  • 2x Florescent Bulb 8 WATT = $5.00
  • 1x one meter black clothes = $2.50
  • 1x Labour charges (for cutting angle bar) = $5.00
  • Total = B$39.00

For your information, an extra slot angle bar is original require for this project and the picture above only shows one cut set. I did miscalculate the length after seeing the worker cutting it on last Saturday. Never expect my glass would be so big. Not quite a big problem actually, it just that I can’t build a box like setup. But it still useful for building stage photo shooting and it really turn out very well in the end with plenty of optional positioning and adjusting the correct lights.

I have to admit my photos don’t quite come close to the professional levels due to my coming age Canon PowerShot A710IS. But I am quite happy with the end results, because this setup was original also meant for close shots and look nicer than mine previous setup. I’m sure you want to see the results so I decided to provide you some photo I taken to be use on reviews soon. Check out the sample below.

Sunday Last Nov Fever

Glad to have a three days holiday! I was supposed to post this up yesterday but my body won’t listen because I was overwork on Saturday during the exercise and now full of body pain. Today I’m feeling better after taking an afternoon nap.

Sunday. I didn’t expect this time going to the capital. If it wasn’t about sending my mom to the airport, I will never move my ass from the bed. But the plan change because my company was taking off on today, so I decided go for some window shopping without worrying exhausted on the next day.

After that, my sister and I went straight to Mata Mata area first for massaging. Oh well, something you need to worry about your health rather than just keeping update on your toys. But after arriving there, my sister told me we are too early because the shop opens at twelve. Since we arrive hour early, we decide to drop by Supersave for some shopping.

I did spot some interesting product over there. One of them is Nutrient Water (NW). Many of us may never hear of it, if you were Danny Choo readers. You might probably already read about the vitamin drinks in one of the Good Smile events, if you can remember. NW was somewhat similar to these products and made from Australia. There are six different favors. Currently I only get the Cranberry Grapefruit favor first to try which contains multi vitamin (A, B, C, D and E).

Another one is GNC health products, I have been thinking about looking for this product after it advertises in BB. Yeah, I did thinking about going slim lately because of my weight have been going up these past years. From 65kg to 78kg is a huge shock for me five years. After taking some serious exercise and food controls, I manage to slim down from 78kg to 74kg. That’s all I can do for now because i can’t control my eating habits, which is why I am thinking about going down more by taking fats burn pills. Not sure how effective it is, but I decide to buy this week and tried to burn my fats!

Once done in Supersave shopping, we both went straight to the massage center. To be honest, I didn’t expect there are a lot of China employees working there. Well, at least those girls are pretty and of course they are looking for Mr. Right in Brunei. No difference at all in Singapore, but at least they did understand not all people in Brunei are rich (because they always believe it’s true that we are all rich! Doh~!). We both indeed have a nice chats and listening to their stories about its hometown in China.

Finally, our last next stop is to The mall. Man, it was a disaster over there and almost no parking spaces are available below at all. We were block at first, after going another round some available space were free and I drive straight down to park. The traffic is crazy during around two, I don’t know but it must be the people went crazy with Twlight New Moon and 2012 movies in cinema. It was full house and I am sure. Nah, I didn’t waste my time going there just to watch the movies. I am checking out the toy shops over there which was posted by some local bloggers.

Always at first, checking out Chong Hock Music Centre place. I am really impressed with the stocks they had imported over there. I was thinking about getting the Revoltech protect Gear, but it suddenly turns me off for some reason. It just makes me remembering coming December will be a new chaotic day for toy collectors.

I don’t know why I had such feeling but I just continue checking out the toys especially the Transformer because I want to know how big the size of it. I am just curious about it why the Mickey Mouse trailer is so small. Check out CH-Toynation blog for more information.

Second place to drop by, it’s the Kawan Ria toy shop which was advertise by Shewsbury. I went there for one reason, the Tamiya white paint! But it was disappointed because those spray paints are not meant to be use for the Gundam plastic. You guys might be wondering why it cannot be use. Don’t ask me, it was stated clearly written on the Tamiya spray cans. If I am not mistaken, according to Tamiya this paint chemical can melt your Gundam plastics.

Lastly, on the last floor, it’s the Go Figure! toy shop. I have been wanted to go there checking out the super heroes toys. This time I manage to drop by there and have a look around. I’m not entirely a Star War fans, but they are many great toys around there.

The most nostalgia toy in my days is the Centurion. I can’t believe all three man heroes (not for sale and one booked last seen) still around. It will be nice displaying in a toy museum for attractions. Hai~! I am still sad remembering my dad burn my Transformer Headmaster Scorpionuk as a trash. BTW, Go Figure! also got a blog, so check it out!

My Way off to BSB

Never expecting it was going to be so boring for window shopping in the capital right now. I shouldn’t have make up my mind going up there and thinking about saving yourself going to the cinema. The worst timing was actually Harry Potter seats were fully booked. We didn’t expect that coming, everyone decided to just walk around to kill our time in the Mall and then to another usual shopping area instead of waiting for another shows in afternoon at around three.

There weren’t much to see anyway, just a few booths setup selling computers and some other unknown medical products. What surprises me is that Blu-Ray goes pirated already? I have no idea if that was just a DVD9 or something. I need to asked if anyone actually test run it. Bridex exhibition is also starting soon on 10th August next month. If anyone interested, you can buy the $5.00 ticket at the first floor. There are open for public visitors, but it’s only on 14/08/09 (Friday 1400 - 1700) and 15/08/09 (Saturday 0900 – 1700). Visit the website for more information.

I also drop by and stalk around the toys in Chong Hock before going to Kiulap Hua Ho and to the main Chong Hock branch to check out the place and the ThermalTake products including other PC accessories. It was really too bad I never get a chance to see how the cosplay clothes quality looks like as I couldn’t find any of them. Nonetheless, it was a good place to drop by once in a while for me. If you guys are looking for Japanese toys, figurine and cosplayer clothes, drop by Chong Hock blog.

After that, I walked back to Hua Ho to meet up with my folks and also walk straight to the toys section. I don’t know why I have these kind habits whenever I step foot on any Hua Ho departments store and even other shopping areas. But it’s really funny to find myself behave this way. However, if you want to shop Hua Ho and looks for toys, I could only think of Yayasan and the airport area (forget the place of the name) that actually selling them the most. There wasn’t much to sees in Kiulap except some Transformer Universe and also unexpected new China Transformer brand call Transmutator. Hahaha….

Lastly, our final place is Giant Department store. We didn’t think about going there, it just my mom want to drop by there and look for something which is same goes to me looking for the foldable chair. I need it because I didn’t manage to find one in Furniture Court, so I would think Giant might sells because I remember seeing them advertise it on the flyers. It just too bad I couldn’t find it there.

Anyway Hari Raya is coming soon, there are also many reason for me to wait. Although the trip to watch Harry Potter is in vain, I can still wait for the free version. Hehehe…

Flash Back at Shopping.com.bn

It been a while I haven’t look at the local online for more than one year when last introduced Shopping.com.bn on my blog on April last year. Nope, I haven’t made any order from them yet until now, so no review entry. But continue on findings the errors or flaw were part of my habits and for a person who had nothing to do sitting in front on the PC.

Looking at the past entry I wrote, it was a bit terrible when Shopping.com.bn first launched its online store. The electronic warranties are not impressive and I found the cameras they selling only provide two weeks warranty. The funnier even it requires us to pay extra for getting one year warranty. That was worst impression for me turning away as a customer and I’m sure the rival was laughing hard when they see it.

According to the source I received, QQeStore and Shopping.com.bn are not related. I’m sure that many locals may mistake thinking they are, too bad it’s not true. But it’s good for us, more price competition between them.

The question here is, did they learn the mistakes commit in the past? Yes, and this time much clever and better. I do not want to point out which parts, but I am glad the warranty for the camera is back with one year cover instead of two weeks. Other I do not find much change over the year especially their website.

I want to hear and learn more from the local’s opinions about their customer services rating because this year is still not a green light to go for a new digital camera yet. If I am rich, maybe it’s different story. I’m not intending to go back to QQeStore anymore so I like to know from experience buyer at Shopping.com.bn for opinions.

Yeah! It’s May

Man, I am so happy for the 1st day of May. I have been waiting hard for it to swipe my card to buy foods and drinks. I got few box biscuit from the supermarket and some nice drinks to company for at least two weeks. Also I brought a large plastic storage box to put my toys and collections for improve condition instead of keeping it in the cupboard. I brought it for B$29.90 and have a roller below easily to move around. I will post the picture tomorrow once I done a cleanup in my room. Hate to see my room getting messier every month. I am planning to buy another plastic storage box on August after I clear up my payment for pre-order collections. Kekeke…

My heart is also itchy because I found out a great deal for Company of Heroes collection in Play-Asia.com today. I was thinking if I am going to buy it or not since it pack with three games. One full version of Company of Heroes and the other two are stand alone expansion packs which include recent releases call COH: Tales of Valor. Damn! Not really sure if I am going to buy or not. I am hoping something good going to happen in Steam. Kekeke…

Anyway, according to Steam, the next weekend dead is 40% off for Left 4 Dead, I’m not interested on this one but maybe one day I will get it with crazy low price. For Company of Heros collection, the name of the box is calling Company of Heroes: Anthology selling with good price US$34.90 at Play-Asia.com. Happy hunting for May!
