Lightning Bawoo (BTC Competition Entry)

Lightning Bawoo is my third entry for the local Gunpla competition this year. This kit took me three months to build and constant revised. Not really a satisfied work, again and again, the spray painting quality went wrong. But I tried to correct the problem by focusing some area improving on the parts color. This actually helps a lot hiding the mistake during work in progress. I will put out some history log and photos how I implement the Lighting Back into Bawoo.

As for now I will need to clear some backlog photos I forget to upload previously. You can check all the previous work at my I.Model Kits Works page for links.

Brunei Toy Convention 2015 (December Event)

Finally, my new chair has arrived! Now I can properly sit without hurting my back while typing. Let’s start off my trip to Brunei Hobby Convention (BTC) event on December 12th. Again, same place but with more toy vendors showing up in the event. As always for me, when you get use to buying online. You would hardly want to get locally. It just that day I couldn’t find anything that interest me at all. Sorry to say their stocks are almost the same as previous. So I decided to focus buying new comfortable chair and running shoe instead which already cost BND300.00+.
As for the Gunpla competition, I didn’t participate this time around. Not like I don’t have kit to join but I just not satisfy my current work and trying out some option parts for old kit modifications including finding recent issue on the spray painting. I will post up my new test work coming this next week for closing the year 2015 works as well my previous participation kit for BTC event.
Take note. The photos and the plastic kits competitions are not taken on the last day. So you won’t find the newer and last minute submission works in the photos. As much I like to go on the last day, all I can say flu suddenly struck first and the next day I knew coughing and terrible fever came. Hardly had any good night sleep and once better I had to worry about rushing to close my maintenance works because I was down for two days.
Anyway, click read more to check out the photos I took at the event! Happy holiday and merry Christmas to all!

Migrate to Open Media Vault (OMV) NAS

My Ubuntu server crash last month for unknown reason. After some investigation finding out Ubuntu the latest update break the server, I am trying to get it restores hard. Almost 80% of my data in the main drive corrupted even when running RAID 1 setup. It is unimaginable update can do so much damage.

I decided to gave up reinstalling Ubuntu server since I have to reconfigure remote access and reinstall most of the software again. Why not just jump into NAS OS this time. FreeNAS doesn't work well for me previously so I tried Rockstor. However, it didn't work as well for some reason trying to get the installer to load. Without wasting too much time finding solution. I made final choice going look back at Open Media Vault (OMV).

The OMV installation was fast and easy to set up, this time I decided to install directly into 160GB SATA HDD which I plan to migrate into SSD drive in the future once solving the hard disk space issue first. The only problem I encounter was OMV plugins were somewhat limited. This is due to the copyright related so you have to find another way. OMV Extra. Once installed, those removed plugins will be made available.

So far the OMV is running great after I am familiar with the configurations and testing. The only thing I will be avoiding is updating and delaying at least three or one month cycle before applying. This is just to avoid having another unexpected crash.

Back to Square One (Again)

Probably starting this month I may have more time on blogging. There are a lot of topics in mind still pending to start writing. It just my back pain is holding me off quite often than ever and can’t sit too long. The existing chair is so lousy built and needed to get replace with more comfortable chair. That will be when the Salebration begin next month on 19th.

Now, what going on with my life? Bad. Local companies are suffering and now all about retrenchment. Ours no exception and recently our department get targeted, it's not so good news. I didn't join the meeting, however, according to my colleagues. The conversation is stupid and one of the head want majority of us to start doing sales. I myself already had trouble keeping track on the current jobs. Not to mention I originally hired as IT Support Technician and there's no account for successful income sales. So what's in for me then?

All I can say, most of us will be out of jobs sooner or later if there's no business improvement coming beginning next year. For me becoming unemployed going to be problem because I got no IT certification except previous Windows Server 2012 training I took upon myself. Having just only skills is not enough and it's time to step ahead taking CompTIA A+ exam. It's a risk, this is why I decided go slowly on reading and find more study material online for a while choosing the right timing next year taking the exam since CompTIA updated in the official website with new A+ exam code.

Money Control Year

Well, definitely not a good year for almost everyone. Brunei oil and gas business hit even hard harder every month and price of the foods rise at grocery stores. Trying to fight hard on saving and made a good decision not to travel. Fuck I missed Japan trip!

Nobody knows when you might be next jobless victim. So better regret the fun at the moment and start having backup money in the bank are best option. Despite working a lot of effort putting money into the saving every months and less spending on toys. Both August and September took almost half just from car servicing. Damn, always these two months every year. I definitely got stress out pretty bad by it.

My mom especially is freaking stubborn and sometimes deserved some scolding to wake her up. The worst one was trying to force my nephew gave up his SG50 Lego set by giving to me. I am seriously loss of words finding out and really put me in a bad position as an uncle who only want to know if his school can made any purchase. It is unimaginable my mother would do such a thing. She just lucky my brother didn't find out about this.

Another issue is she just can't stop talking about how I missed my trip to Japan. I'm not sure if she already old or probably just stays too long in Singapore without realizing our situation in Brunei now. I just avoid her and walk off when she starts repeating the shits. Although its rude to your own mother, it has to be done from time to time avoiding family quarrels. I already had my goal in mind getting a house. Misses my travel or not, doesn't matter anymore when you got no roof of your own.

Missed HG Customize Parts Campaign Summer 2015 at Hobby Link japan

If you want to get Bandai HG Customize Parts campaign stuffs, look no further only Hobby Link Japan happen to have this promotion that offer to international customers. The third campaign finally started on August 17th. Nope I didn't manage to get any damn single out of it. You see this happen when these customize parts ran out before they packed mine. Yes, disappointed to know. But what pissed me off HLJ actually already started offering on August 8th even the graphic logo listed the exact date and put up on 17th! What the fuck?
I really lost of words and find this very upset they kept this promotion quiet while making majority waiting and browsed for the news everyday wondering the third campaign going to happen or not. Not only it pissed me off and began to question why 17th? They said because it was traditional Obon holiday (three days) and the announcement was delay. I call that bullshit excuses and the fuck we subscribe newsletter service for? Traditional Obon holiday celebrate on August 15th (wiki) and will last for three days. So what happen during 10 to 14th then?
Let's be frank about this, we all can see global economic problem does indeed affect Gundam model kits sales and has been slow down this year including those new released lines. Not only that, P-Bandai exclusive are spoiling the market itself too. You will notice if you browse the pages every few days or easy way, type HGUC or HG in the search. The list of the new released and old Gunpla stocks numbers hardly running out of stocks even after the campaign ended.
My opinions on this, probably a marketing stunt to find way clearing high volume stocks stuck in their warehouse. You see, the past two campaigns last two to three weeks and I hardly able to choose which kits to buy as majority run out of stock. The third campaign, so much in stock kit's selection and closed only less than 5 days (17th to 21st). If the promotion originally started on 8th, either they found the sales were slow during that time and the remaining HG customize parts already given out almost dry since we are talking about three parts for each HG purchase. I myself would find this golden opportunity card push to clear the stocks and make sure the “This campaign is only good as long as our stock of packets lasts!” slogan were used to protect them from hot head customer like me. Smart move.
Of course, I may be wrong. This is just speculating and no prove at all of their wrong doing. Even if it happens what I wrote above, well, they got right to do that. Still, I find this case so rare they would stay quiet and delay announce this campaign for such respectable online shop with lots of loyal customers base. I never had any problem with them before but this is the first time making me so mad wasting my money purchasing from a campaign period (the day they open) that gets nothing in return. The way they handle this announcement just wrong and left me speechless. There won't be next time blindly rush to purchase like that. Thanks to that, I actually brought wrong Nemo version. Arggg!

Brunei Toy Convention 2015 – Vendors

With Brunei toy convention ended on 2nd August, there are still many not realize or visit the event. If you didn't make it there, no worry, I got it covers with plenty photos and still spend time reorganize to post separately.

Brunei Toy Convention 2015

Coming next week starting on Friday and there is Gunpla competition. After a long consideration, I decided to skip again due to inconvenience traveling there just for submitting my work (still incomplete). They told me preferable on Friday and final its on Saturday morning. I see no point getting myself two hours drive back and forth just for submission. Unless I have a home or apartment to stay for a night. So better off going there on Sunday.

Multi Storage Plastic Box (2 Drawers and 3 Layer) Review

This is 2 drawers and 3 layer multi storage plastic box that I brought for BND $20.90 to keep the modeling kits stuff more organize. It took me quite a while looking for this kind of multi storage plastic box design in Brunei. Not all department stores or shops wanted carrying such small size item to sell because the price had to be right especially it made out of plastic. In the end, I manage to find at Soon Lee Seaview, second floor, in KB. The Hua Ho Mall Manggis did sell similar one above but the price cost extra 10 dollars more, so nope.

Lego Ultra Agent 70170 and Galaxy Squad 70719

This month spending are totally screw buying Lego. It just happen to be a good timing especially getting huge discount for the large set of Galaxy Squad: Galactic Titan from my town local shop. I saw the remaining Galaxy Squad Crater Creeper, Hive Crawler and Warp Stinger also received same good discount treatment. But I reach the budget limit and decided to wait till next month, if it still around.

Well, only if I didn't get the Ultra Agent: UltraCopter vs. AntiMatter during my trip to capital. I could have grab all the remaining good Galaxy Squad deals. Still, no regret getting this set because it may run out if I continue to played waiting game as we all know Toy R Us hardly throw in discount for this theme. Gosh, I saw Ultra Agents Ocean HQ and it's freaking expensive. I really want it so badly.

July On Leave, Window and Online Shopping

Finally, taking three days off starting 1st day of July to clear some leave and time doing personal stuff like doing laundry and a bit cleaning in my room as well getting my own bed freshen up which I haven't done a long time. ;) It was really a good sunny day yesterday and today.

During Ramadan month is a bit hard in Brunei when you can't dine in the restaurant. So my morning schedules are troublesome going out for window shopping if you can't have a nice morning breakfast. I don't like walking around having empty stomach. But I just too lazy to cook myself at home because I haven't stock up any breakfast type foods. I have been eating noodle almost every morning. Changing the food menu is a must.

I decided to drop by long awaited plan visit KB Sentral Shopping Centre this afternoon. Yeah, I know it's open quite a long time. However, some shops continue rushing renovate before the official grand opening this month. Got to be honest, nothing much to see other than restaurants and cinema. Even I don't really have many things to buy especially fresh fruits at Jaya Hypermart. Even-though there are some mobile shops around to check out, looking at the financial situation. Just go inside busy body and walk off. Actually I was planning to get Apple iPad Air, saw a shop selling and asked if I can purchase with credit card. Somehow, I notice seller tend to mark up higher unless you paid cash. Everyone knows, nowadays people hardly pay in cash.

As for online shopping, this month going to be my craziest purchase ever. The moment I started writing, I already just check out the comic books left hanging in the cart long time. It is disappointed knowing Attack On Titan volume 15 ran out of stock at Yesasia. There isn't any description listing regarding bundle something or any prize items, just normal release. Right now I am scratching my head and hopefully there will be restock. I also received promotion newsletter from Lego and Gunpla soon. How bad it going to cost me are just another question.

Covering Future Self Insurance

Never thought I would jump in buying life insurance when I don't really feel like getting one. However, with some changes and restriction made to the bank policy in Brunei for applying investment. I hardly able to think of a way securing safe financing in the bank not unless you have at least 100k lying around when I hardly able to save 1k in a year. What option should I look into? Life Insurance.

This is the simplest way to financing and securing your own future saving especially after retirement. Why now? Well, considering when I started working just earning $400.00 per month. There's no way I am able to pull that off paying life insurance per month. Only until today my pay are stable enough to move forward with the plan because the car loan have remaining three more years to go and looking at my current age. It is time adding extra accident plan and finance into it.

As far I remember, the agent said it was premium insurance (accident + life). Yes, it going to cost quite a bit more and cheaper idea going with this plan. If you never buy before, there are indeed some different between the price working in office and in construction area. I asked the agent listed me in construction zone because I do sometimes involving site office and in constructions. It's just a way having some peace of mind in case shit happen no matter if companies have strict safety policy or not.

Action Figure Very Slow But Not Plastic Kits

Yeah, again and again not doing any update post this month. I spend most of the time now motivating on work out and jogging to get myself in healthy good shape 4-5 times a week. Even my sleeping hour adjusted as early 9.30PM after watching one hour shows. So the mindset about blogging simply put, already forgotten when the body automatically hits bed time alarm.

Now the toys, I still trying to get rid some Transformers MSIB that I don’t need or interest keeping. However, the selling prices in the market are entirely screwed over. Just this month when I visit Toy R Us shop in the capital. Few Transformers toys like Voyager Sound Wave (Blaster) were sold for $25.00 (BND) each and generation Shockwave $12.00 (BND) each for clearing sake. My mind was eventually blasted by it seeing how bad the Transformers market has become. Selling your MSIB or used toys are now harder at Facebook. The competition is terrible slashing between more than 60%-80% for complete loose even for MSIB toys. The result of this actually affect the resales value no matter if its great new or loose condition. I'm not really desperate getting back the money. Recovering lesser than what you paid for doesn’t worth it despite we face bad financially. My MSIB price will remain as it is following the local market or online price.

Well, as for the plastic kits, nothing change at my end. Bandai screw the builders by offering too many P-Bandai exclusive and limited kits this year. I actually went crazy with Pale Rider (ground type) by buying five of them and all three Jegan variation from Gundam F91 movie. The RGM-89A2 Jegan Type-A2 (General Revil) version was announced last month so this is definitely going to be high priority wish-list. Hopefully they might consider reissue the ReZEL Type-C (GR) and Jegan D type again. The build fighters Cathedral Gundam and Hi-Nu Gundam Influx also got me interested. As for now, I am looking forward finding ways to get RGM-89s Stack Jegan CCA-MSV version because I am too late to pre-order.

Where to Go?

Well, my company happens to asked me clear some leave pile up last year so I wonder where to go. I’m not sure if I should visit Miri since almost more than two years never drive there despite only half an hour trip. But I am kinda not really interested and even cross my mind what am I suppose to find over there other than eating foods. Oh I forgot there are changes to the road direction over in Miri so I am going to get lost for a while.

My brother has asked me if I wanted to visit Japan in September. From what I am able to save in the bank today, wasn’t enough to cover the expenses in Japan, not to mention in Singapore itself. Sure, I got place to stay and save a lot. To be frank, I don’t really feel like traveling at all this year. With so much drama happening in Brunei and locals losing job in oil and gas industries, I need backup money around if anything should happen.

I got to say I really done a good job on saving. The past years are totally zero. Now I see something so it's good as long I continue cut the spending on toys and feel bitter every day unable to buy a house. Probably there will be more progress other than blowing the saving.

Taking Unfinished ‘Introduction to Linux’

The unfinished ‘Introduction to Linux’ course at edX that I didn’t complete last year left hanging. Since I am starting to find Linux more interesting than ever and decided to give myself a chance to study again on IT fields area. The course however requires understanding all three popular Debian, SUSE and Fedora which is quite challenging and time keeping up.

The direction is uncertain if I should move on to the self-paced Essentials of System Administration training course after completing edX. At this unemployment time and struggle year, I have to be extra careful what to spend wisely on because unexpected things do happen. Like my car broke down again and luckily so far not that serious.

Well, I will see how it goes when reaching the exam section until satisfactory result of my leaning to decide again.

Nearly Sick But Tiring

Gosh, these past few weeks were tiring working on site office before the deadline and sleep at early hours. Now the site operation has started and continue to go back and forth almost every day going to get you sick sooner or later with such terrible hot weather. Not only that, we all had to deal with the bad smell from the haze as well that burns non stop for weeks.

I don't remember when did the last sickness kick in last year. But because terrible heat, it finally caught me with fever, flu and cough on Friday. Never like this kind of combination. Luckily I recovering now today since taking lot of resting during weekend, my day off, dammit! Only the flu are annoying as usual. Tomorrow, I should be fine working again and just need to be careful what to eat since I even had three mouth ulcers which I accidentally wounded biting.

Buying a House in Brunei is Harder Than Ever

As an average income person, I don't even know how much time, sweat and stress to achieves your dream owning a house in Brunei. The more I try to save, the higher the price goes up in time or brought by the rich for renting and resale higher strategy market. This is really sucked thinking about it every day. Seeing how Brunei has change so did the Governments, economics and religion. I already gave up waiting for the citizenship result and now focus towards studying bit by bit hoping for better chance switching job with good pay. Was never a bookworm or bright student back then. You just need to try something new but age seem to be problem sooner.

It is very regretful not telling myself saving money when I was a kid working in chicken farm and then went out to buy toys for what I earned. If I knew my father would give everything away to the second wife, this could have been avoided in the first place. Things just never goes what you wanted to, and no, I don't hate my father making such decision. He's the lord in the house so he can do whatever he wants.

Everything was a past now and still living in my own father house, renting, of course. So far no movement yet from his second wife asking higher rent or robbing us for spending luxury. I told my sister we need to find ways to buy cheap house. Size of the house not our concern, as long there are three bedrooms and able to park two cars at least. Nowadays apartment only can hold one parking space. Unless you buy for yourself. Other than that, terrible idea getting it when the Brunei transportation sucks.

Not like we never look for houses or apartment less than 120K below. You can just hardly able to find such price range nowadays. No one can imagine how much further both house and apartment going to cost in the future. But reaching the target just seem to be impossible even our salary combine together. Bank loan only gives out 70% and need good deposit to cover 30%. We have no choice but to keep looking and hope for good news. I want our renting money goes to our own home not flowing everything to her.

Play With This Too Kickstarter

I have been watching this guys designing quite an interesting action toys for a while. After they announced fund raising campaign using Kickstarter, the toy itself doesn't seem to appeal me. I was hoping they would put up the human faction. But it seems not happening so if you guy interest and wanted to get one. You can now place your order over there.

Exchange Server Disaster Before CNY

Never imagine one of my clients Exchange server would be busted before Chinese New Year. Well, this is a sign to work during holiday. There is no way to escape and the reason is simple. They only have one server and manage everything. This is what I fear the most working with people leading the department who have stingy mindset and not bother to foreseen such situation. There is no excuse on myself too not spending time monitoring the server health using some free tools such as Spiceworks. It just simply too hard to be working a bit server administrator, then IT Technician and then admin job nowadays. When you are exhausted, you going to forget your next pending job sooner or later if you don't focus on one thing properly.

Despite being good at maintaining Windows Server 2012, but when it comes with Microsoft Exchange. I am nothing with no single knowledge managing and understand how Exchange really works. Using search engine looking for troubleshooting and solutions from time to time does help. Not much helpful when it comes to serious problem. I tried to study Exchange, so far not much progress except learning how to set up does give me some experience.

Looking at the problem my client server is facing, for one, the Exchange storage hit with low disk space. Secondly, the external mail entirely stop coming due to its high pressure suffering low disk space. Lastly, I found Outlook 2007-2013 no longer able to connect to Exchange and kept getting errors. I do not know if Exchange shutdown all its running services causing such errors. My mind is telling me this is not good.

I don't denied my part miscalculate the partition size back in 2013 I personally first setup the server. Back then, I am confidence the mail database won't expand when the Outlook would download everything into the user computers. However, later I found out the fucking new Microsoft Outlook 2013 option to deliver Exchange emails to a pst-file has been officially removed. This backlash is the result of fast growing mail database size in one year. The solution to such problem either can either create POP3 account or add rules to do the job. To me, this is just unnecessary extra works.

Another way, is run Exchange maintenance mode and perform compacting mail database to squeeze the size maybe once or every few months. Honestly, this is something I trying avoid and even well suggested by many Exchange expert because it's very dangerous task that can corrupt the mail database. Again, I have no good knowledge and best not to touch such maintenance duty when never once done any recovery mail database experience before. Why take that risk?

My friend told we can take it slowly to find solutions to fix this problem instead jumping straight suggesting reformat the server. The problem here is our clients have no patience playing waiting games during their crucial time working with upcoming new tenders and projects. So it's not good idea to drag any longer before they start working on Tuesday (after Brunei National day). Moreover, there's no guarantee we can solve the problem because none of us are even trained Exchange admin in the first place. The only thing already perform are the necessary solutions to get the Exchange working again for two days straight and seeing so many weird errors showing up in the events log drive me crazier before the CNY holiday starts. Reformatting and rework the server is the best option during the holiday time.

I bring it back to the office on CNY eve and starts working on the Friday and Saturday. On Monday afternoon, I send back and starts rejoin all domains and slowly warp up the remaining pending setting until Thursday this week. It was tiring and stressful reworking from scratch. I revised the Exchange storage size from 200GB to 700GB by sacrificing 80% data size. I also upgrade to Service Pack 1 and Cumulative Update 7 for Exchange Server 2013. There are no second thought or regrets doing so since everything now fresh installed. Why not just throws in everything? I did somehow notice Microsoft puts out quite a few new options or features in the Exchange console. Nonetheless, my priority are as long the emails start coming in and out. Those shitty new features or not are not my concerns.

By laws, Exchange must need to have its own powerful server to run and separate from the main server. It was not supposed to run with single server in the first place. Like I said earlier, stingy mindset brought the problem. If I in charge on the sales, there definitely going have two servers rather one. In case my client can only afford one server, I would convince them have their Emails hosted on Cloud. Even though we have crappy ISP in Brunei, why bother with so much worrying when you get 100% up time, 24hrs support and can use anywhere anytime?

What do I learned from this? I lost my holiday mood and unnecessary stress. That's it. It was supposed my resting month. Things just doesn't turn out to be after this incident. Hard to say how many times had repeated itself. I seriously really need to rethink my role if its wise to continue working as multitasking job this year with the company.

You Hate Me. I Hate You too!

This is something stuck on my mind for a while that happen last week. Usually I ignore the hate stuff people on me no matter if that person were bosses or friends. Working as IT Technician does from time to time offend and may result insult either customers or colleagues working in same company which recently happen a lot starting last year. One of them about the missing laptop case has trigger the heat argument. It doesn't really bother me because I no longer working as PC Technician. Now are more on focus monitoring and making sure the company system running smoothly so I need to be strict on users.

The cunt that hate me does relate to the missing laptop incident. Even though it's not his fault, he acts too cocky in front of the management discussing the case. In the end got backfired and he felt very unhappy about it. I told him the same thing what the managements said before the meeting even started. He just so disagreeing and shoot his own foot. What can I say?

It doesn’t matter if he continues to hate me. I hate him too. You see, I dislike people so irresponsible, breaking company rules and procedures at work. There are increasing cases happen at my working location. This is not something I like to overlook any longer and stupidly sucking people jobs for free. That's the past me and I will directly screw that person if he/she tried to push the unrelated IT jobs to me to suck it.

RX-79BD Berserker Destiny (Unit 01)

Based on Blue Destiny model kit, the designed is more focus on close range. Several areas were added with extra heavy armors with beam coating for better protection especially the front custom armor shielding the main body to avoid direct hit by heavy range weaponry. Although the defensive has been increase, the twin chest missiles are weak spot for easy target and critical damage. The armament is now replaced with LaWS (Laser Weapon System) defense weapon which only activate when the front armor destroyed in battle.

The main weaponry uses rare Caletvwlch for close combat due its Mirage Colloid feature that can helps to push the EXAM system into whole new level. To take advantage on the features, the speed and mobility has been improved using GM parts. The replacement blades for Caletvwlch also store on the side of the backpack.

LV-ZGMF-X23S Vent Saviour Gundam ‘High Boost’ + Hyper Bazooka

Not dead, just lazy. I'm trying to keep up with my life since I decided to improve my eating habits by learning some healthy cooking and more exercise causing myself exhaust easily. So my blogging has been very slow as usual. I also rushing my work before taking long leave during Chinese New Year this month. Vent Savior Gundam was actually the last Gunpla I worked last year. It's kinda late posting it up so I decided to take the opportunity uploading today. Nothing much to explain, however, I finally found replacement for the white spray paints.

At Last! Pale Rider Is Coming

HGUC-ML-PaleRiderG

In case you missed that. Yup you read that right. Bandai announces the releasing Pale Rider Heavy ground equipment in April 2015 this year. I am so happy about the news except very sad knowing that only available exclusively from P-Bandai shop. At least much better have to get it from only video game limited edition. I will go for two orders for now and another three more next month. Maybe extra if March still available at the online store, otherwise just patience wait for the release space equipment which is going to happen this year.

Good news also, the White Dingo team exclusive versions are getting third re-released again in April too! Damn, I am thinking.

Unbelievable New Monthly Rates is Bullshit

Telbru says they made 40% cheaper rate for all. You know what? I call that bullshit. I don’t see how much cheaper it going to cost us rather I find hard to believe they would even go as far after businesses putting together with home into same boat with quota limit. The fuck with home plans starting price BND199.00 for unlimited quota is entirely absurd.

Their intention is so clear targeting the heavy usage customers and just wants more money. This is not about cost saving from the start but to control usage. The disappointment looking at my 3.5Mbps plan only have 150GB quota limit is sad. I don’t even see these numbers are enough to last two weeks running Youtube streaming, normal downloads, sync data and Steam games for me. If I include torrent, it guarantees less than a week.

This is really headache for me right now as well when I am working as IT Technician who need to lookout for downloads for the latest software (especially Microsoft) and virus definition updates (weekly). My usage normally are quite high so I have no choice but to minimize these download at home starting on March. Just hope my company get the unlimited quota so I can have no worry to download updating the software.

I do feel Telbru should have asked us for a survey. I doubt they even don’t bother in the first place and just simply move forward the plan since they are the only internet service provider in Brunei. So they can do whatever they want. I kinda hate their response argument too in the Facebook the information they provided are basically just assumptions, nothing more. While they mention you won’t get disconnect or any extra charges after using up the quota, you will instead getting bandwidth throttling by 20%. What they show in their graph doesn’t even look like 20% a bit. 80% more likely to say. Again, nothing we can do much about it and just suck it up moving on.

Happy Bad Start 2015!

Yeah, it is to me. Life is always the 1st of everything. So for the bad start for this month, I sent my 24+ year old Toyota Corolla Wagon vehicle for full checkup since the Chinese New Year is coming next month.

The inspection on the faulty parts (last year engine) was quite bad on the front. The steering bush almost broken and the effect wear out the tires side rubber. The repair costs repairing and replacing parts are definitely going to be killing half my salary. Luckily, the mechanic boss told me the existing absorbers are good in condition after they done more testing. Still, the rest will continue to be fixing and replace even if there are extra faulty parts found.

Not like I had a lot of money in hand or at bank. My way of keeping the old car in good working condition mustn’t just fixing one by one concept mind just to cut costs. Replacing all the necessary faulty parts in one goal always recommended no matter if there even just minor problem to me. This practice actually helps you save your budget for long term maintenance cost.

Another bad start, from this year on ward there will be fewer Transformers toys and Gundam kits order online. I am reviewing what to keep and which will be remove in the HLJ listing to cut down the spending further if not needed. It was hard decision and sad but I just need to keep thinking the money is on the old car for now and future funding on the courses for finding better jobs.
