Autopatcher Project Has Been Cease!

Can't really believe Microsoft has started to act and cease Autopatcher completely. I'm not really convince why MS have to do that. But maybe the Service Pack 3 is coming to sooner (2 weeks) so they decided to take action on the project. However, I disagree MS doing this. Autopatcher is a great product and help a lot of the IT tech to do the job fast especially when it comes to fresh installed PC or laptop. Reduced time using all the bandwidth only for Window Update and of course faster delivery for the customers. I really hope MS lift up the banning on the projects.
Today we received an e-mail from Microsoft, requesting the immediate take-down of the download page, which of course means that AutoPatcher is probably history. As much as we disagree, we can do very little, and although the download page is merely a collection of mirrors, we took the download page down.

We would like to thank you for your support. For the past 4 years, it has been a blast. Unfortunately, it seems like it's the end of AutoPatcher as we know it.
About
AutoPatcher is based on the functionality of these special updates, automating their installation process. This way, with only a few mouse clicks and two minutes of your time, AutoPatcher is able to continue with the installation of the items you selected. In short, AutoPatcher combines the advantage of both Windows Update (presentation and description of updates and automated installation), and the special administrative updates (portability and installation without the need of an Internet connection).

Bad Weather

I feel like a dry meat this afternoon. Doesn't feel like want to work in the office and almost fell a sleep while working server on site, because of the nice cool air-conditioner in the room. It was raining all day yesterday and now, we are experiencing another damn hot nice weather the whole day. I almost become a sicko this morning and my head is starting to feel hurt. Luckily it just didn't happen. Arggg...I think I need to make some drinks to cool down my body heat tonight.

Bringer Silent of Death

Razer just announced a new product gaming mouse yesterday, named Lachesis and it cost $79.90 for pre-order including free poster (limited). The mouse do somewhat a bit like replace Razer DeathAdder design and I really love to get one. But the shipping are too expensive for me to get one. Who the hell anyone would want to pay US$50.00+ (only one product) for a UPS shipping service? I find it stupid after looking at that amount. I wonder where the hell is the Asian Razer store gone to? I remember they offer a free shipping if you buy over US$100.00 there.

Onshore Trip (to Work LOL)

It was my first time going onshore to work on a ship. I have to say not an easy ride for me as I have to take a Severn class lifeboat (likely what it was called) to board the ship for another half an hour. Imagine adding another trip from Kuala Belait to Muara required at least more than one hour. That’s why I took my camera with me. Shhh…..I almost got a sea sick after 10 minute inside there after the weather starting to turn bad and shaken the lifeboat side by side fiercely. I was like, damn, am I going to throw out the food from my stomach? I was totally lucky taking a half an hour ride only because I was told that the ship has sail nearer in order to reduce the time for me to reach there. All else, I might take at more than two hour to reach them. Not to mention I have to check every crew PC in every office too and possibly I might going to stay there for one night. Argg...Well, it ain’t going to happen because my own bed was much better and my PC is in front of me, and I need it. Maybe I would consider staying there if I owned a laptop. However, there was one thing I would never really want to miss out. It’s their cafeteria and the foods were damn good. I wish I would have “Tabao” the foods and bring it home. ^^;;;

That’s not all I have to say, there are Gym too in the ship. But I do not have any chance to visit it, unless I work there. However, one funny thing about the crews there asking me about what kind of car am I driving now. Honestly, so I said I am currently driving an old Toyota corolla wagon 1991. Do you know what reaction they show to me? They don’t believe it, which is totally think I am bullshit them. They even said IT employee normally have good salary and drive good cars. I don’t really belong to the IT field I have to say, I’m just a normal PC technician with enough salary to survive. No argument about these, I have a very nice chats to most of the crews and captains.

The most worrying is when I might go too missed out the lifeboat coming to transport me back to the port. It was already at night and it’s raining. It was totally dark in all surrounding and I only managed to see few lights coming from the distance, and freaking quiet. HA! Well, I did taking few pictures around there. But some of them are spoiled because it’s too dark out there and my setting wasn’t quite correct. Anyway, the lifeboat finally came after I get inside the ship to prepare my stuffs. It was still raining and the wave hitting quite strong. Luckily the food inside my stomach already digest almost 80%, if not I might going to throw everything out on the lifeboat on those half an hour seasick back to the port. ^^;;; I guess I have to say on and all a very good trip to onshore for one day. I really missed the food there. HA!!!

Byousoku 5cm per Second Movie

While my friend were still in Singapore and I was doing my part downloading the anime. I was going to take some time checking out my anime lists that I haven't watched yet stored in my hard disk drive. I decided to pick and watched “5 Centimeters Per Second - a chain of short stories about their distance". The anime was releases this year 2007, a feature film by Makoto Shinkai. The anime contains three chapters: Oukashou (桜花抄), Cosmonaut (コスモナウト), and Byousoku 5 Centimeter.

A tale of two people, Tono Takaki and Shinohara Akari, who were close friends but gradually grow farther and farther apart as time moves on. They become separated because of their families yet continue to exchange contact in the form of letters. Yet as time continues to trudge on, their contact with one another begins to cease. Years pass and the rift between them grow ever larger. However, Takaki remembers the times they shared together, but as life continues to unfold for him, he wonders if he would be given the chance to meet Akari again. (from ANN)

I was so sad (nearly tears drop) about the ending because the two were not able to love at each other. As Akari were soon getting too married and Takaki is still looking for an answer and waiting for her. T_T I am really moved by this story to tell you the truth about the love distances. I really did somewhat experience a little about the love distance before, when I was still at primary until secondary. Well, thanks to these anime bringing back my childhood memories about someone I ever love from long distance…..

If you anime fans have watch The Place Promised in Our Early Days movie. Then you guys shouldn’t miss out Makoto Shinkai latest 5 Centimeter Per Second movie. The artworks were topnotch and not to mention every place in the movie were based in real place in Japan. You can check out the fansite for spoilers. ^^

Stress and Stupid

I was indeed very stressing this few days because of money is running dry in my bank account. I have already had a few items going to put up on garage sales soon into my friend shop. Those are my PSP (ver. 2.71), Warcraft III Battle chest editions and other PC games. Not sure if I am going to throw in my PS2 for sale too. Just in case I am telling myself. In order to control my spending starting this month, I decided to post up my daily income, spending, pay off debt and also my upcoming future debt list. I am trying to keep track of myself on what the hell am I spending on so bad and what the fuck is going on in my life getting this shit debts.

Other than stupid things I am going to do on my blog. The most interesting that happen to me in a department store is that I can’t find my god damn size for the new jean. I was thinking about getting two new one on my old totally torn up jean I wear for nearly half a year now. I can’t believe I wasn’t able to find any of my size there. My width is around 36 and all I can find are size 29 until 34. -_-;;; I was only manage able to find one, other really doesn’t suit my taste because of the weird stupid picture on the jeans. Well, those skeleton types of designs LOL!!!

Atheists & Discrimination

Ok, I am Atheist and I fully respect other religious people who believe in gods. I never tried to discourage any friends of mine or even family to stay out of their believing on gods. However, I came across watching these video in YouTube about some debate over CNN Atheist discrimination on February this year. I don't know what the hell is happening in America nowadays. So I don't know what the Atheists trying to do there and it just started to sound like becoming another what they called "two horns and a tails" or something. Anyway, I find these debate rather interesting especially Richard Dawkins, who wrote the book called "The God Delusion". I never read his book before but i would love to owned one if someone want to send me one for free. ^^

Story of Desmond Chin...

I am a guy who doesn’t like to buy newspaper in my home country instead spending more time on the internet reading IT and gaming news. It just happen today I pay a visit to Bruneistudent.com and came across a strong post about a young adult suffering from a cancer like diseases. His name is Desmond Chin, age of 20, a Seria resident. According the information from ShimWorld, Desmond was diagnosed with leukaemia in April 2005 and suffers from T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, a type of cancer which causes more than normal quantities of white blood cells. Even I don’t even know what kind of disease is that. It doesn’t sound too good for any adult and children. More importantly, the cost of the treatment and surgery were estimate between $100k and $200k. O_O It didn’t say if that is in UK or US dollar, but still that amount is not everyone able to get it easily. Other issue also because Desmond is a Bruneian Permanent Resident, he is unable to obtain financial support from the government. ShimWorld has already started the donations program to help him over the financial issue.

**Any of you who would like to help and contribute some money can be done at Paypal or made to Desmond’s Baiduri Bank. Full Name: CHIN YUN CHUN and Account No.: 6000706346202. You can also transfer to HSBC account holders: JAN SHIM PHOTOGRAPHY | 001-2195181-001

HSBC 60 Years in Brunei

HSBC currently is celebrating their 60th anniversary in Brunei. I went for sign up for Visa card this morning while I was working in my contract company. I wasn’t really thinking on applying another card for myself after looking at my saving this year. Well, it’s free anyway and I was pull by friends over to apply it. Just hope they won’t reject my application again. HA! Here’s the free gift I got from them.

Yeah, I ever did apply a visa card back in 2005 for the first time after the promotion started. I needed it because I needed it to purchase my favorite PC games online from Singapore. ^^;;; I think I was totally pissed off at that time after my application was rejected for some stupid reason. Not to mention they didn’t even bother to contact me for explanation what going on with the detail I provided as myself have to go directly to the office for an answer. Lousiest service I ever had in my experience.

Ok, that’s not all. I have to sit there and give them for another half an hour again to double check on my Visa issue; because they make a big mistake stating that I applied a Visa before and I cancel it half way. What the fuck? I wonder how this can actually happen to first time customer applying for a Visa card. Guess what? In the end, I gave up with the answer as I wasted too much time over there talking to useless staffs for giving me a very crap excuse because I am using supplementary Mastercard under my sister name. That is why I can’t apply Visa for that reason. I wonder if anyone ever experiences this kind of problem. Well at least I enjoy using Paypal purchasing online without much problem instead relaying on Visa card. Just hope this registration works!
