How to Removed AVPO.EXE Spyware

I caught this from my portable drive when I am doing servicing in my customers office. Seems like this one is quite annoying and even some anti-virus unable to detect it. Luckily my AOL free Kaspersky was able to catch this nasty things without any problem and also using MAVW for the clean up. Anyway, worth checking out the news below and how to removed manually.

Jamboforum - AVPO.EXE is a file recently detected by several antivirus databases. This file is yet to be determined globally as Good or Bad, therefore it is currently classified as Unknown. However if it is malware then it may well be caught by the behaviour protection in databases.

The only way to safeguard against this possible threat is by installing an antivirus (Kaspersky) which has the ability to protect you from all bad files from the instant they are determined.

How to Manually removed

Thanks to zobl0g.com - Run your windows from Safemode: Press (F8) before your windows startup choose Safemode, then the next step:

Step 1:

1. Open up Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del)
2. If wscript.exe is running, end it.
3. If explorer.exe is running, end it.
4. Open up “File | New Task (Run)” in the Task manager
5. Run cmd
6. Run the following command on all your drives by replacing c:\ with other drives in turn (note: if you have autorun.inf files that you think you need to backup, do so now): del c:\autorun.* /f /a /s /q
7. Go to your Windows\System32 directory by typing cd c:\windows\system32
8. Type dir /a avp*.*
9. If you see any files names avp0.dll or avpo.exe or avp0.exe, use the following commands to delete each of them: attrib -r -s -h avpo.exe and then del avpo.exe
10. Use the Task Manager’s Run command to fire up regedit
11. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run (as usual, take a backup of your registry before touching it!)
12. If there are any entries for avpo.exe, delete them.
13. Do a complete search of your registry for ntde1ect.com and delete any entries you find.
14. Restart your computer.

Step 2

1. Open up registry editor, search and delete all registry keys containing any of the following: avpo.exe and ntde1ect.com2. Restart your computer and boot off a windows XP bootable CD
2. Choose the repair option at the initial screen
3. Choose your installation and enter administrator password to log in to command console
4. Type in the following commandscd \windows\system32, attrib -r -h -s avp*.*, del avp*.*, attrib -r -h -s c:\autorun.inf, del c:\autorun.inf, attrib -r -h -s ntde1ect.com (take note of the “1″ instead of “t” ), del ntde1ect.com
5. Restart your computer after this

Internet Down Always When Phone Call in

It was a bloody week for me experiences this kind of problem. Although today was a public holiday for us, in Brunei. I wish I brought the wired tools back with me so that I can work out on the phone line issue causing so many problems with the Internet at my room. I already told the guy (electrician) to check properly with the phone line connection, but he just doesn’t listen or probably did not understand what I mean that day. Now, the current issue I am having is my main phone line has been connected together with the secondary one. Which is why it causes whole things messed up when someone trying to call to our phone and even calling out. Not to mention, I am now having a disconnection while I am writing this post.

What annoy me is that I hate arguing with “step mother” currently living together. Blaming my room causes all the phone line fuss. Yeah. Yeah. She said she doesn’t want to use it anymore and still connecting interrupting my internet. That bitch is really makes me so mad and makes a disturbing call during my office hour. I think I am going to cut off the line if it still continues disconnect during my happy public day and I am using torrent finishing my remaining files. I don’t like my internet been disturbed because I am paying the same amount every month and I can’t live without an internet. I do not owned a TV channel or any satellite stuffs at my home, and my only source of reading news is on the World Wide Web and I really need it if I am doing a part time PC maintenance.

Gundam Still Sleeping

I haven't built my Gundam I purchased from HLJ until now. It still sleeping inside the box, because I haven't purchase some of the tools that I need to assemble them. Kind of hard putting there like that without doing anything. Well, until my financial become stable. I will purchase some of the remaining tools and crafting accessories to build them. Galaxy Geforce 7600GT (AGP) - Love it!!!

It’s here and I got it on Thursday after it arrived from my friends shop. As you can see the Galaxy box came with quite a fancy design and packed with VIVO adapter and s-video cables including an extra four pin power cable. Blue color board and the GPU are cool by a normal Galaxy VGA fan itself. Don’t worried, there are an extra two holes (total four) for you to install with 3^rd party VGA fan. Most important thing you need to know that Geforce 7600 series require a minimum 300WATT power supply to run it. This is the reason why I choose 7600GT instead over 7900 series or ATI1950 Pro as I don’t want to worry about my power supply unit problem or any point funding a new PSU for an older AGP. Not to mention Geforce 7600GT is already three time powerful than my previous FX5900XT. OMG! XD

The performances are good running older games like Homeworld 2, W40K: Dawn or War and Company of Heroes. You just need to do some setting to get the game smoother. Running the latest game like Enemy Territory - QUAKE Wars and my Command & Conquer: Tiberium War, require some tweaks on the image setting quality on the options to get a good frame rate. But not quite a problem for me though as this card still enough to push itself little more with some overclocking. But I haven’t done that yet because I am waiting for my 120mm fan for replacement to suck out the heat from my Coolermaster chassis. It already was getting weaker so it’s not too good to risk my new toy. If you are looking for a budget AGP card and got a great PSU power, probably getting Geforce 7900 or ATi 1950 Pro AGP is the right choice to go with it. But if you want just a normal performance card, Geforce 7600GT is your buy list.
