This is my first 4th Party KO Transformers that I wanted to get for a long time after seeing more and more fellow collectors displaying their Wei Jiang/Jinbao combiners at home. I simply couldn’t resist any longer so I decided to give NBK brand a try and check out the quality of the toys before jumping in for more.

This is the size of Voyager, a cut-down and re-engineers version of Jin-Bao OS Devastator. I much prefer having the CHUG rather than MP size so that it can pose together with the generation lines nicely for my display. It has good details and is printed (non-sticker) especially can see in the combiner mode. The plastic quality they use is solid for all six robots which you tell in the close-up almost feels like buying a genuine quality action figure. There are a few loose parts in all six of them and some sharp plastic requires to use of a cutter to remove, but I can say each of them received in the box is a good condition except my own mistake of nearly breaking two of them during the transformation without looking at the manual. The stress mark is visible at the bottom of the lower body which you will see in the future single robot review.
The combiner mode is okay and balanced as long you are putting in a normal standing pose. Expecting both shoulder connectors going to be loose since this is not a quality ratcheting joints design. I can only do a simple rotation of around 90 degrees at best for some normal posing. The Long Haul lower body joints cannot withstand the weight properly and started to loosen up after a few weeks of posing. It feels like it going to break if I move backwards too much. I going to check on him when I am doing a single bot review.
Another complaint I hear a lot is about the terrible Devastator head having a screaming expression. I don’t see there is anything wrong with the head unit. The original Generation Toy GT-01 Gravity Builder came with the same thing. Of course, if there is an option to swap faces or functions to close its mouth, it will be great. Oh, there is a nice LED light feature from the eyes to turn on behind his head.
Overall:
It’s a shame NBK TF Engineering 3349 never had the opportunity to get an upgrade set like the Jin-Bao OS version. Even today, the product recently received a new G1 upgrade kit to extend the playability in the combiner mode. I only know the original Generation Toy Gravity Builder add-on kits can work with NBK copies which requires some sanding and slight modification after one of the YT demonstrate it.
The NBK set is quite good and is not disappointed with the quality despite some engineering design changes to sell at a such bargain price. I might get a different version in the future since they have released three types so far. The other two types release under the name of Gravity Builder are the colourful version and Omega Supreme which both of them comes with a different combiner head and chest armour. From what I read about Omega Supreme, it comes with a die-cast and different melee weapons.
