CHMS Lion Dance 2008

Every Chinese New Year, everyone will go to see the Lion Dance in Chung Hua Middle School (CHMS) at any place in Brunei. Of course for me I will go to my nearest town which is my old school in Kuala Belait. I never had been to Seria before which is until now even it takes me 20 minutes to reach there. Unless my friends asked me to go with them, but it just never happen. I also went to Tutong and the Capital to perform few years ago when I was still at school. I have to say it was the most enjoyable moment and we owed the stage when my sensei started out the dragon dance. Even it was impressed by His Majesty including other visitors from many countries on the Sultan Birthday as far I remember. I really missed those excitement days. Time flow like a wind blew.

 

Anyway, I wonder how my town Chinese school is going to entertain us this year. Last year was disappointed I have to say and the performance are same as previous year. However, I was happy I am able to meet up with my lion dance sensei at the open house and asked him to share his view on this year. He told me that there will be better and more changes in the performance including more programs added to the list. I guess missing the event is not a good idea, and at the same time I need to check out the stadium that was renovated last year.

The new entrance? WTF? I don't know who came up with this idea.

Although the place has filled with plenty of air conditioning in the stadium, I was surprised to see the place becoming to cramp and difficulty for non-VIP to look for the empty seats. If you look at the picture, it was still around 18.20PM. The performance starts at 20.00PM and you have to be there early if you are non-VIP. I still took my time walking around and take some pictures on the lion while I can before more people coming in to take over my seats.

 

Well, I still prefer the old version. The new one look too cute for ladies.

Eighth Stage. They Stomp De yard! If they are able to correct the mistake on the timing. I'm sure they will do better.

Gundam Dynames Finally Arrived!

WooT!!! Finally my stuffs have arrived from Japan! Damn! It was originally arrived before Chinese New Year. Due to the new staffs Hobby Link Japan is training, many orders have been delay which is including mine. Well, finally arrived and most of the colors I want is set. I will start working this week on Brunei National Day. What a good day to cure the bored illness sticking at home without any place to go. But damn. My other order were seem to be missing or something as it haven’t yet arrived yet from Hong Kong. I am starting too worried might end up second time lose another order from Play-Asia. Those items I order are the limited version and availability. Pray it won’t lose it! DAMN YOU STUPID WORLD!!!

Chinese New Year Visit on Day 5

I already check my photo albums, sadly nothing happen much on the second day and last until Saturday. I thought it was going to be my fast end of Chinese New Year visit. I guess not. My mom’s give me a last call that we will be heading to our uncle open house in Tutong district and other relatives whom I never seen before or long time ago. No memories about them. We normally call it “Kampong” instead of saying Tutong or villages because you probably couldn’t find many in Brunei. The place has been renovate and has been provided with electrical including better housing which is unlike last time you need a generator to run the electrical in the wooden house. I have to say they are quite a lot of changes in the place and many nice modern houses were built. Ok, I forget what the name of the entrance is but I hope the photos will able to help me and you guys living around there.

Well, first place for food hunting! My Uncle Ah Lek house!

Nice house indeed. A lot of nice house in this area and not to mention, clean air too.

After that, we went to visit my grandmother brother. I don’t really recall the place but after I see the river. I have a little bit come back memory of my previous grandmother sister who once lives there. The places are now demolished and disappear like a river now. Although I do recall it still cover with forest and clean river. It was indeed a great place to check it out. My sister and I were thinking going further to see the abandon house. Well, too much mosquito and the ground has become softer like swarm. We best not to play around unless we got spared clothes to wear if anything happen when we fall into the river. XD

 

Another next visit to relative’s house as we decided to walked there. I really can’t believe I had so much relatives and cousin living in there. If I said most of them were Dusun Chinese? A little bit advice, if you are Chinese. You should better watch yourself saying something bad about them. They know how to speak and understand Chinese too even they lived in there for so many years. I was really surprised seeing some attractive girls talk to me in Chinese. XD Maybe I might end up having a wife from there. YIKES!!! Not a bad idea too, as they have really good educations and many of them worked as teachers, Government sectors and even nursing. This is ten times better than me working as bad ass late night and lousy salaries. LOL. Got owned! T_T

I guess this is all I can say for now. Hoping for next year visit!

Visit to Kampong, Friends Valentine Day and Lion Dance

Okay, I always prepared making draft post about the place I visit last few days. But somehow, recently quite a lot of friends and relatives are inviting me to the open house and stay late over there. I couldn't risk my time at mid night writing a post. But hopefully today I will be able to saved and complete some post before heading to another place.

 

Yesterday, I also went to check out the Lion Dance in Chung Hua Middle School in Kuala Belait. I snap over 100+ photos and working on it. Since I'm still using a budget type of Canon camera, there will be many bad or turn out blur on fast moving object shots. Right now, I am preparing going to ANOTHER open house again, morning. Damn I got 7kg up in my weight which hit 73kg as I usually maintain only between 64-65kg. ^^; Got to work out soon.

Happy Valentine

I totally forgot Valentine day is today! ^^;; Being single will not remember any special events until you find one. However, Valentine Day is also a curse to those single men and women especially for those who got breakup on that day. That was the badass moved and unlucky moment for everyone. No matter what, I wish you all happy Valentine Day and have a great dinner with your lovers. Here’s is the nice coke video I dedicate to all of you couples out there.
