Pff…can’t believe my two weeks relaxation and vacation just over like that. My mind is now more refreshing so let’s get into the AFA event detail. For starter, AFA is known as Anime Festival Asia and held at Singapore on 24th to 26th November 2017. Sadly, I can only attend the opening day because my flight to Cairns in Australia was tomorrow.
Finding your way to C3 Anime Festival Asia (AFA) is easy in Singapore. The event was held at Suntec City convention hall so it won’t be a problem using either SMRT or taxi (or Grab) to travel. I personally prefer using SMRT since it cheaper. Yes, tiring but I see no harm in exercising by walking for health.

After I arrived there around 9.30AM, lots of people (some Cosplays too) already line up until the hall way nearby the first floor escalator area. The wait took about 20 min including half-way to buy the S$13.00 waist ticket (one day entry) and faster rush back to the line again for another 5-7 min slowly walking to second floor escalator. Once there, I open my backpack and camera bag ready for security check. Everything went smoothly and finally enters to the land of AFA. What do you know? Everyone was greeted by Gundam Exia first!
Of course, my first stop starts at Bandai booth to check out the latest Gunpla. As a fan and builder, it was definitely different experience and excitement able to check out the new or upcoming release Gunpla kits up close before making final decision whether to pre-order or not.
Celebrating Gundam OO 10th anniversary, the new PG Gundam Exia (*already released) including almost all released MG (Exia) and HG versions were display at the booth. Nope, didn’t see P-Bandai HG GN-X IV there.
Two P-Bandai perfect grades Unicorn Gundam Banshee Norn (Final Battle Ver.), Phenex and one MG Gundam ZZ Ver.Ka in the middle display at the booth. Yeah, Phenex got most attention because of its shiny looks there. Sorry to break the bad news. Only Singaporean (Bandai member) can pre-order P-Bandai Gunpla kits, and they are not available to sell in public event.

I was surprise myself not taking any single photos for the already released BF Battllogue Gunpla kits. The reason was simple. The Striker GN-X just stands out among them and looks damn impressive. It’s quite possible to build complete Advanced GN-X form. Just my own speculation, we will have to wait for the release next year to find out.
Here is the prize limited HGUC Unicorn Gundam + toolset and Petit’GGuy + Gundam marker set shows at the event. Again, this only applied for the locals in Singapore. Man, feel so frustrating and thinking using my nephew name to join and access to P-Bandai kits. Hmm…
The disappointment was the shop doesn’t have interesting exclusive event kits. I do want to get only HGUC Gundam Revive clear color for SG$14.00. There are gifts when purchase over S$50.00 but it still not enough to convince me going ahead. Unless there are AFA versions (which they should made), I might fall for it.

It’s incredible to see the numbers Star Wars plastic kits released so far by Bandai. They really see big opportunities entering Star Wars market. Luckily the force didn’t take over my mind and becomes Jedi. Otherwise, I have to collect both with Lego too.
Pacific Rim Uprising toys eh, hope they do well in the market.
